When buying mirrors especially for bathrooms, it is important to look for mirrors that are backed with silver. As steam from showers fill the room it combines with the metal in the mirror and the mirror will begin to rust. Double coated silver mirrors (as this one is) have the most tolerance to humidity and will last significantly longer. On a side note they also produce a warmer reflection than Aluminum.
This mirrors is also made using high quality float glass. Have you ever seen a mirror where the reflection is just not right. It may be a bit blurry in the distance or warp you image, these mirrors are usually made using sheet glass. Float glass mirrors have a much cleaner finish which yield much less distortion.

I wish I had read the below review before I purchased - it was to late - there is nothing crystal about this mirror - the picture even close up is deceiving - the border is flat glass layered over a tin foil that looks like it was rubbed over shapes that i guess is supposed to shimmer like crystal? - it looks cheap - and its pricey to return!
I purchased this mirror because I was looking for something simple but elegant to hang over my fireplace. It is a perfect sizeżdoesnżt dominate the space. I was concerned about the grade of glass used for the mirror based on several I had seem for the same price in stores (the mirrors had a wavy appearance), but this mirror did not have that. The crystal edge surrounding the mirror looks wonderful. I have gotten quite a few compliments on it. And it was easy to hang. The hardware on the back of the mirror allows you to hang it up and down or sideway, depending on what you like. Very good purchase for the price.
I purchased this mirror just a couple of weeks ago and I had thought that I found the perfect bath mirror. Boy, was I wrong! In the picture the outer perimeter of the mirror looks to made up of crushed crystal. Don't be fooled! What you are actually seeing is a stainless steel backing with geometric shapes (TRIANGLES and SQUARES!) embedded into it and there may be either crystal or glass overlay on the steel, but I'm not to sure! I do not know how a frame less crystal mirror has no crystal! However, with all that being said the mirror does not look that bad from a far or even up close if that is the look you are going for. My feelings aside, the mirror is quite heavy and sturdy and attractive, but not worth what you will pay for it unless you get it for under $80.

While the mirrors weren't exactly as I had pictured them, they are lovely. Very well built and a definite plus to my bathroom, they look great over the sinks. They are two layers, which I didn't catch when viewing the photos. I do wish the pictures depicting some of the items would show side views so it would be easier to see the items as they are. I was pleasantly surprised to see the way they are built. I would recomend this mirror to my friends without a second thought.
