Great light for the price! Original designer one cost way too much, and this is a great alternative. The instructions for the crystal hanging are very bad. I had to freestyle it and looked at the picture online. In the end it looks great! The crystals are not real crystal, I believe they are acrylic. I've gotten so many compliments on it so far! I have it in my foyer/entry way. Makes a nice statement!

It is absolutely gorgeous. for the price. Now the picture/instructions on how to do the crystals is not the easiest to figure out but you will after a little while of figuring it out. Instead of paying the full price of the one from **** this looks just as beautiful .I can't wait to hang it in the space it is intended for.

We love the fixture....not much in the directions as to how to hang the crystal but we used the photo to figure it out and they were very generous on extra pieces in case you lose one or one breaks. We weren't sure how much light it would emit but we were very pleased with the brightness of it.

In the last 6 months I have purchased 33 lighting fixtures (indoor and outdoor) for a large remodel on a newly purchased home! Some were very old fixtures from antiques stores and warehouses and some from trendy brand name stores. This orb was one of the last lighting pieces we needed. I already had a large plain orb (no crystals) hanging from the ceiling on the stairs leading to my master area. And I wanted an orb with crystals for my master bath. I really took a chance on this one as I wanted sparkle and the orb look, and the price at retail stores was outrageous. I was totally prepared to return this chandelier. Surprise, it was beautiful... really makes a statement! Even though I love all my new lighting I think I could have saved a lot of money shopping here first.

I was looking for an inexpensive chandelier for my dining room. I received it very quickly. Unfortunately, there are these little red specks on top of the black glossy finish, I guess this was for a wrought iron faux finish. It would have looked tacky above my dining room table and visible. If your hanging this up higher, maybe in an entryway it would be fine and look great. For the price you really can't beat it. Wish it would have worked, but I sent it right back.

I bought this chandelier for my office. I really wanted an orb chandelier and when I saw this one on overstock I couldn't believe the price! It was significantly lower than a major home decor store that I have seen a similar one at. At first when the chandelier arrived it was missing all of the crystal parts. I called the number that came with it and they shipped out a box of all the crystal parts that I needed. My electrician had some difficulty getting the chandelier up. It is not the greatest quality by far, but I suppose you get what you pay for. You can't really have this light and not put the crystals on it. It doesn't look right without them. The finish is not black, or iron, or bronze. It is actually a black paint with red paint speckles all over it. Kind of weird, but from far away you can't even tell. The instuctions for putting up the crystals are not very clear, so I just improvised and did the best I could until there was no more room to hang any more. It actually came with a ton of extra crystals! Also, the metal that the crystals hang from are a very cheap, thin gold color. Again, from far away you can't tell. Overall, for the price, this light looks pretty good. It actually is a bit fancier than I thought it would be because of all the crystals. You could probably even hang it in a dining room or a foyer and it would look stunning.

After seeing the original chandelier in my favorite restoration mag, I scoured the internet for a year to find something that would give a similar look. When all was but lost- viola! Overstock thrilled me with a knock off that almost looks the same! The keyword is almost! My chandelier hangs in a two story foyer, so it looks fabulous from that vantage. Other have commented on the finish, which I found true to photo, but shiny and a little cheap looking. It would be worth the effort to tape the non-removeable crystal fixtures and spray paint in a matte finish. The brass-looking clasps that are used to connect the crystals bothered me a little at first, so you might want to find an alternative at your local hardware store. Other than that, I am completely ecstatic that I found this on Overstock and cannot believe that I saved about $2250!!

First and Last purchase from Overstock. Chandelier arrived with 2 broken parts. Called for them to send replacements. After days of waiting, called to learn they accidentally cancelled the shipping for the replacements. Parts were reordered again. Arrived 5 days later and are broken as well. Their shipping department sent two glass parts in a box with no protective wrapping! Called and was guaranteed replacements would again be overnighted. Still have no replacements. Have never dealt with such a dysfunctional customer department.

I drooled over this light for months before I bought it. It kept going in and out of stock. When I would go to buy it, it would be sold out again! Finally I was able to buy it with only four remaining! This light shipped extremely fast and came in very big, well packaged box. I guess I didn't read the dimensions closely because the size of the light surprised me a bit. It was bigger than I expected, but still worked well. You might want to get a tape measure out and double check! : ) I have nine foot ceilings and we just shortened the chain so it looked good in our sitting room. This light is in a room right off my entry way and it gets a lot of attention. The light is bronze with very small reddish flecks. I didn't think it distracted from the beauty. Once its up, its a stunner! The crystals are attached with gold clips. I love gold and bronze, so this worked well for what I had planned. I am very happy with this light and the price. I can't afford the original designer one at almost ten times the price, so this is a great substitute!

We hung this fixture in our entry way. I t is about a 14 foot ceiling height and has a window to the outside right in front of it. Looks fabulous from outside as well as inside. Throws average amount of light as the light bulbs are the skinny type. Would buy again!!!

Thisis a really nice light, the size is accurate at 24 wide, but its a little bit higher/taller - maybe 2 inches with the top and the bottom pieces, so be sure you have the ceiling height for this light. The crystals have shiny, cheap looking gold connectors, but that is the only negative thing I have to say about it. The directions for placement of the crystals could be better, so print out a picture to guide you, no assembly on the orb itself, so that is simple. Its a gorgeous piece that really makes a statement. Actually even nicer than the MUCH pricier version of this light you will find at other stores. I'd say this is a homerun. I love it!

Love this chandelier. My husband installed with no problem. It took longer to get the extra tall ladder and set it up on the staircase landing then it took to install the fixture. He used our existing canapy because it just plunged into the power box, plus it was bigger and looked better than the one that came with it.. Due to the high celling. Everyone that has seen it loves it. A little old with a modern twist. The cryslals did take a while to put on because I tried different looks. I also broke off the glass bowls under the light bulbs. It looks so much more expensive. Less is more with the crystals.

The pendant is beautiful. It comes with loose crystal pieces that you have to assemble yourself. The wiring was a bit tricky but once we got it together the end result was beautiful. I'm happy with the quality and look of my purchase.

I love the style of this chandelier BUT I was hoping I would have the option to keep the crystals off for a more rustic look. I knew they required some assembly so I figured if I left them off, it would have the look I was going for. Well, the crystals themselves are detachable, but the crystal/glass collar at the top of the fixture is not... nor are the small crystal buttons on the ends of the chandelier arms. I was so bummed- I really wanted to love this fixture but I returned it without even hanging it. If you like the crystal look, this chandelier is a great option for the price point!!!!!

Ok. I am keeping this light and trying to make it work. It has pros and cons. Let me tell you the truth and you can decide if this is the light for you. WHAT IS THIS LIGHT MADE OF? This light is not ALL iron. The orb is. The chandelier parts are steel or tube metal or something. The light comes almost fully assembled. WHAT ABOUT THE CYRSTALS? The crystals are pretty, have a few with scratches, bubbles or other defects but are still pretty. I have plenty left over crystals to choose the best ones since you have one terrible diagram to look at to try to figure out placement of all the crystals. Still not a terriblle situation- I used my creative license and the crystal set up looks really good (and I have plenty of left overs for replacements). The attachments between crystals are the gold color. WHAT IS THE COLOR OF THIS LIGHT? Ok- this is where I am pretty disgusted. The light claimes it is "iron". I (wrongly) assumed an iron finish meant black wrought iron. Maybe it was a little rusty (that would have been great!). But no. The paint is a glossy black paint with glossy bright red speckles. Even the "candles". It is so tacky, so dollar store, so so ugly. (PS I love dollar stores too, so no offense). I tried my best to fix this situation by buying spray paint in rust color and textured. Sprayed the whole light. Only problem is the one glass piece on the light isn't removable. I can see through the glass and notice the horror show paint behind it. I am hoping it isn't too noticable to anyone else. Time will tell if this is a livable situation. OTHERWISE, now that it is a rusty looking light, it looks great, very very basically exact to a light on my favorite "restoration" site. That light cost over $2000.! So this is quite a savings (as long as the terrible original paint doesn't show through the glass). It's a mixed bag- good deal if you want to do the work and you compare the price to that other site, but 250 bucks is an aweful lot of money to spend on a light that you have to fix to make pretty
