Fontaine Fiore Modern Chrome Pullout Kitchen Faucet

The item arrived in good time like all Overstock products. The packaging of the faucet was somewhat lacking in that the faucet had actually poked through the box. Thankfully, due to O.co the item had been double boxed and still secure. I did find it odd that the faucet was rattling around in the original box where so many other faucets I've purchased have been either in bags or tightly packed with cardboard and plastic. The faucet is really lovely. Shiny chrome and this cool style between mid-century and modern which is exactly what we were looking for. Our sink has 4 holes and I prefer a soap dispenser so this seemed like a no brainer purchase hitting all the features I was searching for. Installation went as most faucet installs do, no big surprises. However, there seems to be some problems with the basic function, design and quality of the product. Specifically, when you pull out the hand faucet nozzle the little plastic keeper that locks it into place escapes. Thus making it very cumbersome to get the hand nozzle fed back into the hole. My husband ended up needing to silicone it into place and hope that it is a long-term fix. Otherwise, the nozzle is effectively useless. The second design flaw is the soap dispenser. Gee it looks beautiful but unlike all other soap dispensers I've ever experienced this one needs to be filled from the container UNDER the sink! Yup, that's right folks when you need to refill the soap you can look forward to unloading underneath your sink, getting down, turning backwards, leaning under the sink tubs so you can see what's going on, unscrew the soap container, getting up, filling container and repeating the feat to replace. With that last issue I'm pretty happy that this faucet went to a rental, I would not be thrilled having to be the one to fill the soap; the design of not being able to access to fill from the top seems just ludicrous to me. Overall, the faucet is lovely and definitely has style. Unfortunately, the problems with the nozzle keeper and soap dish may not make it worth it.
