It is a nice Fluorescent light. we used it in our master bedroom hallway that is flanked by his and her walk-in closets. The nickel on the top of the light is not as shiny as in the picture but looks ok.

I installed 2 of these lights in my home. They were a bit bigger in diameter than I thought, but still very nice. They are about average to install. I did it without an electrician, and Yes, I am a woman. If you have hung lights before, this will be no problem. Note that they only can take 40 watt bulb max!

Attractive piece. Difficult to install...should have electrician. Color & design looked better in person than in picture. Fit the color & theme of room perfectly.
