replacement fixtures
These lights were much nicer than I expected. We are in the process of replacing all of the fixtures in the house,and were looking for something in the brushed nickle finish. These fit the bill. They replaced lightes that barely lit the hall. Now we have plenty of light. They are well made and the bonus...easy to install !

Not made for houses built before 1970
The description did not mention that the light fixture cannot be used in older homes. We were out of the country for 2 months while our beach cabin was updated and did not know the fixture couldn't be used and now it is too late to return it. Be careful when buying things like this at Overstock.com. We also bought a faucet that leaks badly and can't return it either.

nice fixture
I had thought this light would have a more modern appearance, but when it arrived it has soft silver look with some small scroll work on the silver portion. This really works well in my home as it takes a little bit of the modern edge off the fixture.
