Good not Great
I put this fixture up in my 1/2 bath which is black and white and I love it. It adds style and an interesting touch to what could be a very bland powder room. That being said, I am not sure that I would love it in a more formal room. I tend to like things oversized and thing the shade would be small to fill a large room. Also, the quality is not amazing. It is good for the price, and appropriate for a powder room or a child's room, but I don't think I would use it in a dining room or foyer or room where you want to set a formal tone.

beautiful, but a couple of things you should know
This is a beautiful fixture, but there are a couple of problems you should be aware of. First, I hired a handyman to put it up and he said the round part at top was smaller than the actual hole that was already in my ceiling, which meant covering up with some putty or something. Might not be that way in all homes but I had standard size and the circular base piece does seem a little small. just fyi. Also, when hanging, it appears crooked. When trying to figure it out, we realized that my particular chandelier had a crooked shade and no matter how we tried to play around with it, it was crooked. So, unfortunately for me, I am stuck with a crooked shade. :o( Just be careful. When you buy this, make sure you inspect and install it promptly so if you have problems, you can return it. Mine sat in a box for a couple of months because we had to do mold remediation in my daughter's room and couldn't hang it. So, now overstock wouldn't let me return it. It is definitely pretty, but not without a couple of glitches. Oh well.

Beautiful light fixture
This is a very beautiful light chandelier that I added to my kitchen. It has a short stem, which allows it to look great in a kitchen. It will also look good in an entranceway that doesn't allow much room for a low hanging light fixture. I was however disapointed that it is mostly plastic and paper.

better than I imagined
Friends come into the room and the first thing they notice in the light fixture. It was bigger around than I thought and We love it.

dissappointed
We have purchased many ceiling fixutres from Overstock. This one by far was the most difficult to put up. The directions were poor, and we wound up with extra nuts and washers. The final product is OK, an improvement from what we had. The outside black leaf design is pretty and you are able to see the folded white fabric underneath. It has an overall nice look. I must say I expected more illumination with the total of 180 watts, However, the plastic disc at the bottom of the light creates a yellowish cast and it is not as bright as I expected.
