I was nervous about this lamp but when i received it, it was easy to install. You need two people to get it together. The base is so heavy but looks great in the living room. I am so glad I bought.

This lamp is really neat. It is like a piece of art. I have received several compliments on it. I would use caution if using this lamp if you have small children in home. It seems a little top heavy. This is why only gave it 4 stars.

I received the floor lamp and found it extremely easy to set-up and put together. The 3 lamp shades are plastic, but quite streamlined and fashionable. It is burnished silver and has a solid weighted base. Compact fluorescent bulbs fit fine and you can click the on button for 1,2, or all 3 lights. I am very satisfied with my purchase.

The threading doesn't work on most of the joints, large glass bulb off center and unable to get it centered so can be easily tipped over, the turning on also a problem as it sits right flush with the lamp shade holder, had I not already taken it out of the box and the Styrofoam busted up, I would have returned it. Very disappointing as Overstock products usually worth the price.

The bottom edge of the shade is 68 inches high. When joining base pole to curved pole it is easier if you attach the mini-headless screws to the tiny Allen wrench and then inset in holes. I tried inserting screw into the pole first and ended up dropping them and hunting with a magnet and flashlight, Best to have a helper with assembly. Not complex just hard to handle solo. Now on from tips to review: It looks good in my 1950s living room. My ceilings are low and it is taller than expected but really provides as much light as an overhead fixture. Lots of reflection from the white ceiling. I was surprised that 75 watts is sufficient. I think 100 watts would be too bright.
