The air mattress packs well, inflates and deflates quickly with the rechargeable pump, and provides a comfortable night's sleep. The loss of a star for workmanship results from a check valve that may just have gotten some piece of dirt that prevented a perfect seal and allowed the mattress to slowly leak over several hours when supporting two people after showing no problem holding air when inflated for three days. The issue was easily dealt with by adding additional sealing by placing a very flexible plastic bag over the inflation port and reinstalling the pump in the port once the bed had been inflated. It's far too heavy and bulky for backpacking, but great for tent camping by car and very suitable for an emergency guest bed.

After three uses, the air bed started leaking air and is no longer in a condition to be used. We can not find an apparent puncture, it seems that the seal mechanism is no longer holding air. We had to purchase another air bed while on the trip.
