I had this bed in a Queen so I was thrilled this set is still around. I was able to upgrade to a King and not have to buy a whole new bedroom set. We actually had to exchange the bed as the first one came damaged in several places which was a little bit of a hassle but the turn around time was rather quick (a week and a half) considering they tell you up to 4 weeks. I love the clean look of this bed and that it has plenty of room underneath for possible storage. I have a 14" mattress with regular box spings on this and it's tall but that's how I like it because I'm 6' tall. If you're shorter you should consider using the low profile box springs or a smaller mattress height unless you want to hop up into bed or use a step. Because this is a sleigh bed and my mattress sits so high, there is a small gap at the headboard which the pillow can sink in. That may not be an issue if the mattress sits lower.
I was very pleased by the quality of the bed. It came with 3 bed slats which each have 2 supporting legs. We decided 5 slats would be better. Went to our local do-it-yourself store and bought 2 pieces of wood and ordered 4 supporting legs from the internet. In the meantime we are using the bed. If I had it to do over, I would have ordered the low profile box spring. The bed is pretty high but we like it that way. It took about 3 weeks from the time we ordered it to the time the freight company delivered it. I think it was well worth the wait.
The bed frame is beautiful! It was easy to put together and has several feet to offer great support. It sits up high if you have both a mattress and boxspring. My boxspring is the tallest you can get. Highly recommend it!

This bed is really good looking and was at a good price. We've put together a TON of Overstock furniture and this one had less clear directions than most. My husband had to take it apart once and redo it once to make sense of it. A few weeks later, the middle supports got knocked off (scary!). We used bigger screws and reinforced with nails to make it feel sturdy. Now it seems ok, but I wish it hadn't been such a pain. Also we have box springs and a thick pillowtop mattress on it, and the bed is pretty darn high; the headboard doesn't show much. I'd take the box springs off but I want the lateral support of their frames so the middle doesn't sink. Nonetheless, this bed has a very nice style, was affordable, and if we'd done the reinforcement thing in the beginning then it would have been fine. Goes perfectly in our room. Despite the problems, I'd probably get it again.
