  As previous reviewer commented, the picture is totally misleading. In addition to his/her comments, this set is exactly what I'd been looking for after many attempts of finding the perfect set that is both modern, classic, AND functions well. I personally like the tines of my forks to be close, it easy to stab things and eat with them. I also found that although the more modern rounded, full circle spoons look nice, they are uncomfortably wide in your mouth and cannot do the job a narrowed tip spoon does in scraping for example the bottom of a yogurt. A ha, function. These are a great weight. Not to heavy and not too light that they feel cheap. They sit just right and because they are thin, handly well like a tool (which flatware is ultimately) should do. That said, they are a little short in the handle especially the teaspoon.   The product that was shipped was exactly as pictured on the website. Though the actual product appeared very nice, it was very light weight, giving the impression it would not last very long. The product was taken out of the box, placed in the dishwasher and washed immediately. Upon taking the flatware out of the dishwasher, several pieces had already rusted.

  I was amazed at the quality of this flatware. Each piece is a heavy weight with solid stainless finish. The forks are pointy and the knives are steak knife sharp. Just love the set. I'd never seen this style before, so sophisticated!

  I liked this set so much that I ordered a second set after I received the first one. They are simple yet elegant and well balanced. Would I recommend them to a friend? Yes and no; yes because of the quality, no because I don't want them to have MY silverware :)

  These were a gift for my daughter, and she LOVED them. The quality was much better than expected, and the modern design with natural elements goes well with a variety of the current dinnerware styles. The weight of these was also very impressive. A very high quality set at a super price.
