we bought this for a sheltered porch and good thing. the style is good and the value seems pretty good...but does not compare to a properly fabricated exterior light. I've modified the fittings so that if anyone bumps into the lamp it might survive, the "hanger" is lightweight metal and the attachment to the back is rather light as well... I have a pair of handmade lights that we've had on the house for over 25yrs that look just like the day we installed them. These will not. It will be interesting to see how they hold-up.
My house burned down and I rebuilt from the ground up. I chose these lights, (6 of them) for the outside lighting because they take 100 watt bulbs and they looked nice. I was amazed at the size and quality! And they are absolutely beautiful! They added even more class to the outside of my new house. I love them and would recommend them to all.
