Although the instructions say you'll need two people to assemble it, I did it all by myself. The holes are aligned perfectly to receive the screws and wooden connectors. The glue that came in the kit was completely dry and unusable. Luckily, I had a bottle of Elmer's wood glue in the house. Make sure you do too, just in case. Word of caution: follow the instruction to the T. Do not rush! Think twice before you apply the glue. The reason they recommend two people is probably to be able to lift the shelf up from the horizontal position. I was able to do it all by myself, even though I am a female in my late 50's, and weigh 130 Lbs!
My husband was able to put this together in one afternoon. It looks great and has held up well. We love it and might get another one. Everyone compliments it!
I bought two of these shelves to put on each side of my TV table on a very big wall and they look great.. They were very easy to put together. I am very happy with my purchase.
If you are considering these, get them,! You wont be sorry. We saw similar ones in a model home and loved them, so glad I bought one. I am actually ordering another today! I put it together by myself and it took about an hour. Would be easier with two people, but easy enough with one. They are beautiful. Thanks again Overstock, you never disappoint me!!
