The bookcase looks just like the picture when put together. I was disapointed that the bookcase is made of pressed wood. But other than that I am very pleased with the product.

I love this storage shelf! It is real piece of furniture and it was exactly what was advertised.it was easy to assemble.I purchased two cabinets had both put together by myself in about 1.5 hours. This is a great buy! Just what I was looking for. Very nice quality.

This bookshelf arrived quickly and was wrapped on th outside in bubble wrap so it was in perfect condition. It was easy to assemble and everything fit together perfect. Looks great and is not heavy but it is very sturdy!

This bookcase was very easy to assemble. I worked alone on it and had it together in no time at all. I opted not to put the back on it so that I had access to the electrical outlet and it looks really nice with the colored wall coming through. I think it would look very nice with the back too. It is classy elegant and a perfect addition to my bedroom to hold my reading materials and knick knacks.

The description of this product online is bookcase/display cabinet. When the boxes arrived, the manufacturer describes them only as display cabinets. I do not think they are sturdy enough to hold the books I hoped to put on them. In the description, it also said they are made from wood- this is misleading as they are a composite. You need a powered screwdriver to assemble. There are over 80 screws per cabinet and it was impossible to assemble with just a plain screwdriver.

I bought this bookshelf about a month ago or so, and I really couldn't be happier! I personally feel that it was a fantastic value for the price I paid. Took me a little over an hour to put together myself, and when I was finished I was shocked because it was a bit bigger than I had envisioned, not to mention heavier! It's really very sturdy, and I was extremely pleased with the amount of books that it held (not to mention how lovely it looks). I'll actually be buying another one in a couple of weeks. :) Hope that helps!!

Solid, attractive, and I like the small footprint. Holds quite a few books. Assembly was very easy. Just take your time. Left the back light cardboard panel off. Looks better without it.

I bought this for my son's rapidly growing book collection. He share's his room and the room is small, so we needed something that used space efficiently and looked "cool". This is perfect. We have all of his favorite books on display, plus his growing collection of nick-nacks and there is still room left over. Despite being only 12 inches on the lower shelf, all of the shelves are quite deep. What really makes this piece work is that the upper small shelves are shorter than the lower deeper shelves. This really helps to be able to store a large variety of sizes, in an organized fashion and still not overwhelm a small space. Mom and son are both very very pleased. He is now able to use his desk and his small display shelf as intended. In fact, I want another one, but am unsure where to put it.

I have to say I was kind of anxious to order this bookcase, since a couple of month ago I had purchased a furniture piece online from a different website that turned into a complete nightmare. I was very surprised how incredible smoothly this purchase went. From the delivery time to quality and assembly. It took me around an hour to assemble it (and I am a woman:-)) and it looks really really great. Will surely purchase more things on Overstock. thank you

This bookshelf somehow looks larger in the picture than it actually is. The height is just over 5', which I was expecting, but somehow the width and depth look larger in the picture. However, it is exactly as advertised, so the mistake is my own fault.The description says it is wood with a black antique finish. It is actually an "engineered wood product", i.e. particle board, but the veneer is real wood (not the vinyl stuff on most cheap furniture). It actually looks good. You can't tell without a very close inspection (i.e. looking at the back, or peering under the shelves and seeing screws that aren't hidden) that it isn't solid wood. I am not embarrassed at all to have this in the living room, and it and a TV stand are replacing a $1000 solid oak entertainment center.All of the pre-drilled holes lined up perfectly. It was extremely easy to assemble. The only problem with parts is that a number of the nails that hold the back pieces on were unusable, but there are way more than you actually need to do the job.

i ordered two of these with the intention of placing one on each side of my media stand. not only did the "antiquing", grain, and color match my media stand but it looks wonderful all set up. together each one took about 30 mins or so to assemble. the pieces are clearly marked and screw covers actually fit! it did take about a week for delivery and was packaged with bubble wrap, surround film, polystyrene and a cloth like divider between the boards. nailing on the back panel was probably the most frustrating cause there were no 'X marks the spot' where you were suppose to nail. just had to line things up and hope that you didn't miss nailing the shelf behind the backer board. overall, interesting looking display shelves that look excellent with my media stand!

This is a quality book/display shelf and I'm pleased with the purchase. I needed something rather low profile in terms of space saving, and since the shelf is only a foot deep at it's deepest, this piece more than did the trick. Assembly appeared to be a bit daunting as 126 screws came in the packaging, but it didn't take long--you're essentially just repeating the shelf building process five times, so it's actually quite simple once you've sorted the clearly numbered parts. The shelves are thick, quality wood and though the piece is quite tall, it's very sturdy and balanced so I've experienced no wobbling even on carpet. I personally couldn't use this solely as a bookshelf since the style is really more for displaying items, so if purchasing for storage of oversized books, definitely double-check the dimensions. My only real gripe is the flimsy poster board backing that seems standard on any shelf unit of this price range. Instead of hammering it on, I've opted to just leave it off so I can take advantage of the open back to plug in a clock or a small radio. All in all, a good looking shelf that would cost 2X this at any local brick and mortar store.

I was looking for something to add to my bedroom and this is so perfect! Great styles and color. Assembly took me around one hour so it was pretty simply. It is also very spacious so you can put a lot of your books, magazine, etc. on it! Great purchase...just perfect for my home.

I wanted something conversative yet with some style and this bookshelf really delivers. I put mostly my mazagines on the shelves and my relatives and visitors just love it! Thank you so much!

I just finished putting this bookcase together and the end is result is perfect! I love the styles and the lightweight of it. I put my decors and books on the shelves and it just looks great!
