I ordered this as a gift and had it sent directly to the recipient. I was so disappointed when I found out it was a bad purchase. The metal stake has two pieces, one did not fit into the other, which renders it useless. And unless rain is measured differently than I thought, the measurements on the plastic container are ridiculously wrong. It says "inches" on one side and clearly marks 2 inches and it is actually 7 inches. I would ship it back if it weren't for the hassel and it was a gift, so I would have to ask for it back from the friend I sent it to. Very disapponted in the big O right now:-( But after years of great finds, this is my first bad egg so I'll keep shopping.

This rain gauge was a bit pricey, but it is very unique and it makes my garden look great, plus I know how much rainfall I've gotten in the garden! It is easy to assemble and it seems to be holding up outdoors.

I bought this for my dad for father's day and he lives in Texas so I have not personally seen this yet. However, he and my mom both said it was really nice and a great sturty piece. I thought almost $50.00 was pricy for a rain gauge but it is well made so I would say it's worth it since not many things are well made these days!

Nice copper fish. Has a metal stake that goes in the ground. The rain gauge is hard plastic and has readings on the gauge. Looks nice in the yard. Is real copper so it should weather nicely. I just think it is a little expense for what I got, but I like it.

I got this copper rain gauge as a birthday present for my sister, and was so unhappy to see how cheap looking it was. Too late for me to get something else, but I later apologized to her, telling her I would have returned it if I'd had time.

so - 7th anniversary - copper - and my husband is a fish lover - so it was perfect - sitting in our garden and is very cute...
