  I was very disappointed with this purchase and will need to send back. The metal pieces were all crooked and bent. The instructions did not patch the parts I received. There is no hole to drain water so this item cannot stay outside and if used, not sure how I would get to clean it. I was expecting a lot more for the price.

  We searched everywhere for a cast iron chimenea, this is just what we were looking for. Very similar to the one we have used for the last 10 years. We love it!

  Although made of cast iron the way the unit is pieced together makes it less than stellar. It's hard to perfectly line up the components so there aren't any gaps and everything tightens up nicely. This would be much better the different sections were solid components- i.e. the actual chimney (currently 2 pieces to assemble), the actual pit (3 pieces to assemble) and the legs (3 legs, 1 base type thing). The door is completely useless--- the hinge is minimal so when you are trying to open the pit to add more wood it typically just comes off (safety hazard) and we are unsure as to if the latch is supposed to actually move or not, right now it just keeps getting bent. For the price I wish we would have waited and found something in person that was one or pieces at a maximum rather than a million small pieces that you have to put together!!!
