I put this rod and matching hooks in my new house. It's been 6 or 7 months and the rod is RUSTING!...the hooks are RUSTING!!! ....and the white detail falls off the hooks. The hooks constantly snag on the rod and the shower curtain falls off. I have rusting marks running down the white shower curtain. Don't bother with this product- it looks nice at first but not built for real people and real bathrooms....really disappointed!!
I'm very pleased with this rod. I do have a warning. This rod is held in place by the pressure of the rod itself, it uses suction to hold to the wall. While waiting for a shower curtain liner to arrive. We hung the shower curtain on the rod and put it in what we thought was temporary placement above the tile (our tile does not go all the way to the ceiling) with the intention of moving the rod down so that it was positioned on the tile. When we removed the rod it took off a patch of "wall board" on either end of the rod. So it does hold well in place but now we have two areas on the wall which will have to be repaired and repainted. So a bit of a warning if you are placing on a painted wall you might think "permanent placement."
