Fiesta Platter
This is a very useful and sturdy platter. It works well with other Fiesta ware. It is made of plastic, not ceramic. At first I was disappointed about this, but then I realized that it would be entirely too heavy if it were made out of ceramic. The packaging and shipping of this product was poor and mine arrived with a couple of tiny chips in the rim. The damage was not great enough for me to deal with the hassle of returning it, however. Overall, good product, bad shipping.

Good value
Platter is attractive and a good value BUT you must note that this item is PLASTIC and not authentic Fiestaware. The ad says "Materials: Fully vitrified lead-free ceramic with a color glaze" and states it is oven safe but elsewhere in the ad it lists the material as polypropylene so just be aware.

I have two of these platters, in two different colors. They are great platters for all sort of uses.

Too Bad It Isn't Scratch-Free
The description of the item as "chip-resistant" lead me to assume that it would be a fairly durable product. The tray color and shape are nice and, when new, it didn't look "plastic" until touched. However. Tray scratched easily and immediately and also dented within a few weeks of normal wear and tear. I would not recommend this item for durability or long-term use.

Fiesta!
