This is the second time I've attempted to write a review on this product.. only to realize it doesn't show up. Hopefully this one will make it to you before you buy this set. Initially i was pleased with the overall look and design of the set... Once i started setting up the set i started to have some hesitation. The nightstands are constructed beautifully, the bed baseboard and hed board are sturdy with a few blemishes i dont mind, kind of adds to the character of the set. But the slats that come with the bed are maybe a 1/4 inch thick and are held up by theses little post in the middle... very flimpsy and not what i was expecting for dropping nearly a 1000 dollars on a set. Not to mention the weight of a king size mattress alone, these supports seemed to have no chance... well they lasted for about 3 months. We did not purchase the warranty so we ended up retrofitting some plywood and studs to support the boxspring and mattress. Overall i would probably had not bought the set had i know it would have only lasted 3 months before having issues. Can't imagine he set will last for another 2 years... we will see!

Good Item, easy to put together, yes the slats are a little on the flimsy side but the manufacturer would not sell it if it was going to continually break. Have had assembled for two months now and no problems, it's sturdy enough for my needs, if you have a particularly vigorous love life then maybe it would be a different story! Nightstands are of good build and a nice color, I would recommend to a friend.
