Mounting brackets add approximately 1/2 inch to headrail width when installed. If you are mounting inside the window casing please subtract 1/2 inch to 1 inch from the measurement to ensure the blinds will fit properly. Also, please note that the valance is 2 inches wider than the blinds.

Overall a good product
I got three of these, just like in the picture. My biggest recommendation if you do that is to measure to make sure you get the placement of them right. My only complaint if I have one, if that they do give you pieces to cover up the top metal parts of the blinds, and with having three in a row, the pieces do not match up. I think they would work better if you just had one. If you are good with a saw, you might be able to make it look better.
