GREAT FOR ALLERGY SUFFERERS!Faux Leather "Vinyl" curtains and drapes are perfect for indoor allergy sufferers with dustmite anddust allegies. They do not accumulate dust or dustmites and do not need laundering while blocking out the sun and ensuring privacy from the outside of your home. They cut down on particulate matter floating through the air indoors, and they do not retain moisture in humid environments which also contributes to the growth of dustmites. They give a luxurious ambience to any room with or without leather furniture to compliment them.

I have a leather furniture set and I wanted to add a little something extra to set them off. I came across these curtains and just had to have them. I thought for the price it was a steal. They arrived at my home in just and few days and when I opened the box i was very pleased with the appearance and how close they matched my burgundy furniture. There is only one big problem.. the smell!!... The curtains has a very strong chemical odor to them, and even though they look fabulous, I'm thinking of returning them. I really would love to keep them so I'm going to try airing them out and see what happens. If the smell is still there after airing them, I will have to send them back... cant take that smell!

I purchased these curtains to actually use as fabric to reupolster a chair that I have. The fabric really looks like leather and worked perfect for covering my chair. Cost me alot less then actually purchasing this type of fabric from a fabric store. Very happy with the results:).

I did not have a problem with a smell like other reviewers have commented on. I did not smell a thing. These are perfect! I love them and think the look classy!

I ordered these in black for my office. They are awesome!! Slightly wrinkled straight out of the package, but a few minutes with my steam iron fixed that. They had no odor at all. Each panel is actually 4 panels sewn together & the stitching really enhances the leather look. The fabric is thick, so the stitching does let a little light through. The backing is black, so I just used strips of gorilla tape on the back along the seams. I also used the tape to join two panels together, which makes it look like very wide panels w/ no light shining through at all. These look very much like a nice leather, nothing like vinyl. The workmanship is flawless. I sew & actually priced faux leather fabric before buying these. I couldn't even buy cheap looking vinyl for the price. An excellent value! I just ordered 4 more sets for my family room.

We just remodeled our kitchen and these drapes were the final touch. They are perfect, and unlike all the previous reviews, there is absolutely no smell. They arrived pretty wrinkled, so I turned them over and put a towel on them and ironed them and they are beautiful. Still no smell. I have already ordered a second set for the family room !!! Thanks again Overstock.......

The faux leather curtains are great but you have to deal with the strong smell for awhile when you first open the package

My curtains look amazing. I must say when I received them they smelled awful. I hid them in a cedar closet in my basement. When some of the smell want away I hung them in the Den with some black leather furniture, they are awsome. Great Buy!

These wreak to high heaven when they arrive but I put them outside for 4 days and the smell dissipated daily. These are heavy, artful and better than I had hoped. Don't be put off by the odor- just air them out and hang them.

After reading other reviews, I bought 3 sets of these for a family room that has leather furniture in it. And these curtains look great! The "smell" was pretty powerful upon opening, but I tried what another reviewer suggested---putting the panels in the dryer with a dryer sheet for a few minutes. It made a huge difference with the initial smell. And within a day of hanging them, the odor was completely gone. I am just waiting for the matching pillows to come back in stock! Highly recommend these curtains!!

I was impressed with these curtains when they arrived. They really do look like leather. I put them in the dryer for 20 minutes and that eliminated the wrinkles and smell altogether. They hang very nicely over my patio window.

I was disappointed with these drapes. There is a seam across them about a third of the way down, I don't understand why they would do this. And you must air them out for at least a week before hanging. Whew what a smell.

I ordered these in the natural / ivory color to blend with some sheers and a valance I have on my living room window. These added a nice variety of texture to the arrangement without overpowering it. I also think these would be a nice alternative to vertical blinds over a sliding glass patio door. They look very nice, not cheap looking, and are different from the ordinary window curtain. If you like a more unique, out of the ordinary look, these will do that for you. As to the smell that others have complained about - I think that is a "duh" issue. These are a synthetic, vinyl material. Of course they are going to have that smell when they first come out of the package. But after a day or so, the smell goes away. You find this with most any vinyl product. These are somethng unique and original in decor. I may even order some more in a different color for a different room.

Amazing is all I can say about these fabulous faux leather curtains! They not only keep out the light, but are exquisitive in detail and design! Yes, the smell is a bit much for about 5 days, but I used some furniture polish on a cloth on both panels, and the smell subsided in no time. It's worth it, for these are the most beautiful curtains (draperies) ever! Thank you Overstock for being such a great on-line store, and your customer service is with such "southern" charm, even though you're not southern!

These Curtains are very nice and looks great in my family room the only problem was the smell of the curtains but once you air them out you have a nice great leather looking curtain

I purchased 2 sets of the faux leather curtains in the red color, which is a sophisticated deep red, almost garnet color tone. Once sufficiently aired and "febrezed", they are absolutely stunning. Any remaining wrinkles were easily straightened out with a hairdryer. You cannot tell just from looking at them that they are not real leather. I love the matte, rich sheen that these curtains emit, particularly in the red shade. Another plus is that the darker colors block light and keep heat or cold out. Of course you may have to add blinds or sheers if you do not want the color of the curtain to show through the window, but if that is not an issue they look good alone. Overall, I am very pleased with this purchase.
