I ordered these in black and all my guests sit down to the dining table and ask if we should really eat on the leather placemats! everyone thinks they are real leather! they clean up easily. Since there is stitching on them, I don't soak or throw in the washer. I just damp wipe. adds a nice dramatic contemporary touch and so so practical! HIGHLY recommend!

These placemats are awesome. Easy to clean and look expensive. I ordered the burgundy color and they are actually a deep dark red just like the picture shown.

the colors did not come any where like it showed-- we ordered burgandy and they look mostly brown- they were a gift and she couldn't use at all-- have to do something else with them

These are very easy to clean and they are true to the picture on the website. The only negative is that on the back there is just the fabric so you can't flip them.

I love these place mats. I can't understand why anyone would use anything else. They cleanup like a breeze and are very classy and attractive. I WOULD BUY MORE IF YOU MAKE ALARGER SIZE. SAY 23" WIDE BY 18" DEEP. FOR A LARGER TABLE.WOULD NEED 12 OF LARGER SIZE TOO. I already own these in black but my daughter took those and the brown look wonderful on a wood table.Thanks.2maggy

I expected the placemats to be leather on both sides! There is cloth on one side, the same color as the leather but, still "cloth". The cloth presents a cheapness to the matts.

Colors are true to pictures, they look and feel of real leather. Clean up well, just wipe with damp cloth. Goes with any decor, a great value.

These placemats are a great deal! They had no foul odor and the edges haven't curled over so far (I've had them for about a month). They arrived very quickly and they look great. I would and have recommended these to a friend.

I bought these placemats as a gift for my son and his wifes anniversary. They love the design, but the color was not what was shown when I ordered. They were supposed to be a burgandy color and turned out much redder and brighter then what was shown on-line.

I like the placements: they are handsome, versatile, and low maintenance, But the edges curl up, and will not lie flat, even after weighted down.

I have had many a cloth placemats over the years and you just can't beat these. Doesn't matter if they get spilled on, it wipes clean unlike cloth that tend not to wash well.

Can't comment about durability because I haven't been able to use these placemats yet and am seriously considering returning them. I have aired them outside three times for the better part of the day, and they still have an unpleasant odor. Also, be aware that the back is cloth, not vinyl, so if liquid spilled it would be soaked up by the placemat. As for appearance, the vinyl is not rich looking and has a bit of "crinkly" look in some places.

These mats are supple and well made. They actually look and feel exactly like leather. What a great buy!

These are great. Look like leather, but easy to wipe off after a meal with no staining. Great value!

I have tried this color in linen placemats but these are much more durable and you do not have to iron every time,just wipe off with a damp cloth.

The price can't be beat compared to retail stores, the color was true and there was no smell at all, despite being prepared for that based on previous reviews. I'd highly recommend these.

The placemats were fine in general, but I had to wash and air out the placemats due to the strong gaseous fumes that remained for days. Recommendation with warning

Absolutely perfect! They look like leather but clean up with a damp cloth and really add a touch of class to my new dining room table!

placemats had the horrible odor, which is all fairness does disappear over time (a long time !) - quality is very poor and the corners tend to roll up and they do not lay flat, etc - would not purchase these again - price for 24 is good .. but you get what you pay for !

These placemats have a strange odor - I have tried cleaning them with several different detergents and cleaners, but nothing seems to help. I have also left them out to "air" out. I have them as a Christmas gift for my daughter, but I do not know if I will give them to her if the odor remains so strong. They look really nice and are exactly what she wanted. If I could just get rid of the strong unpleasant odor.
