The legs were very rough wood and there were no caps on the bottom of the legs to keep them from scratching the floor. The leather on the stool was marked and dull. We had to return the stool and I would not buy another one,

Great looking little ottoman. Bought them before. I remove the legs and use them to help my older dogs get up on the couch and bed. They look great, but do split at the patchwork seams eventually. Of course, one of the dogs is a 120 lb. Newfoundland. Doubt if it would be a problem for smaller dogs or, heaven forbid, if they were used as ottomans as intended :-)

Skip this ottoman. The legs and frame are made of compressed wood fibers. The color described as dark brown turned out to be black. This purchase was a total failure.

I was extremely disappointed with the quality of this product when it arrived. The faux leather was torn, revealing a portion of the foam cushioning. Also, the quality of the material was very cheap and not durable. I would not recommend this product to anyone.

I have already submitted a review when I first received this product. I was very pleasantly surprised at how beautiful it is. The picture on the computer didn't really show the embossing on the squares. It is so much prettier in reality than on the computer. I like it very much.

Color was a little darker than picture indicated but that was not a big deal. Overall the product was what I wanted and I am pleased with my purchase. I even ordered a second one. One note...the stain one the stool leg bottoms rubbed off on my light carpeting. This was a bit of a problem and needed to shampoo carpet. I cleaned bottoms of legs, applied adhesive-backed pads to the bottom and problem solved.

After being on my feet for 12 hour shifts (I am a street doc) it is great to sit down at night, pick up a great book and put my feet up on my new footstool that matches our other furniture that we also purchased from this site.

This ottoman lasted about two months before a leg broke off. There was no undue stress. We just put our feet on it. The cheap particle board to which the feet are attached just gave out.

I was somewhat disappointed with the stitching on the top because some of it was crooked.Also, some of the studs around the ottoman were uneven.Also, I think the retail price was a little overpriced.Overall, it's an average looking ottoman and suits my needs.

I really liked how the stool looked in the picture, and when I received it I was thrilled. I ordered the solid color chocolate brown stool because I had read the other reviews that said that the checkerboard pattern was a little "off" on the sewing and wasn't squared. It was my fault that I broke off one of the legs by accident, it caught on the edge of the rug, and the whole bottom of corner of where the leg attached to the stool broke off. It's made of pressboard. I am repairing the corner and everything is fine, glad that I am a bit handy otherwise I would have to get another. When I order another footstool, I will get a solid square cube that goes all the way to the ground, and no legs. This way when I kick it over, it will not catch on the area rug. Love it that it complements my ren-fen look that I am doing in the house.

We'd buy it again, since It's sturdy, fits our needs, and the price is right, but I would not recommend it to anyone who wants quality finish.

The stool's size, shape and color are perfect for what I wanted it for, but it is a bit cheap. The stitching on top is not straight and the lack of packing allowed one of the legs to be gouged during shipping. But when I screwed in the legs (very easy to do), the gouge was not visable, so I accepted it as is. I would recommend the solid colors as the "curved" stitching doesn't show as much as it may on the multi-colored one. The price was right for what we needed and it does work well for us -- we use it in our master bath.
