  • Love the pots... Hate the pans.

    Let me preface by saying that this set has everything you would need as a beginner or professional cook with one caveat which I will go into detail later. Great for a first apartment or a college student. Great for a pro or home cook. The pots are fantastic. Easy to clean, easy to wash and the lids fit perfect. The storage containers are also wonderful. The non stick baking tray and pan are nice too. The problem children are the non stick frying pans. Yes they are non stick and work perfectly with a smidge of butter or oil. The issue I experienced is that the exterior of the frying pans cannot be easily cleaned. It seems that dripped food literally burns permanently on the sides and bottom of the frying pan. If you don't mind this ugliness on the frying pans then you should be very happy with this set. It has so many positives that I almost have to overlook this issue. But so you know...I have used magic erasers, sos pads, bar keepers friend, vinegar all the way down to just good ole soap, soaking and elbow grease. For the life of me I cannot get them clean. It's truly amazing considering I always cook on med low to medium heat. What they need to do is make the exterior stainless steel just like the pots. Instead it is some sort of painted surface simulated stainless steel if you will call it that. Absolutely terrible! I rate the set a 4 but it could have easily been a 5 if there were different frying pans. I would recommend this set. I hope this helps.
