I read alot of reviews and did a little research on several different steamers before deciding on this one. I thought for the money I could not go wrong. Turns out I was right. I wanted to use it for some cleaning services that I do for a landlord who needs his rentals cleaned when they go vacant so they are ready for the next tennants. I am sure this steamer is not as great as a commercial grade steamer but it does a pretty good job. It's great for cleaning bathroom mirrors, vanity's, drawers, cabinets, toilets and floors. As for the bathtub and surround(Which I've only tried on fiberglass surround up to now)I find it necessary to stick to good old comet and then steam it after that using the squeege attachment and that leaves it very shiny and cleanser residue free. In the kitchen it really tackles grease on the stove top and gets in all the nooks and crannies so your confident the surface is clean and sterile. Inside the oven when using with the brass scrubber attachment it does a great job. If it has a heavy build-up just hold steam on it longer. If the oven is too bad it may be necessary to use oven cleaner and wipe it out, but again you can follow up with steamer and wipe down and you know the surface will not have residue left and therefore eliminating fumes once oven is turned on again. It's great for steaming the kitchen cabinetry inside and out. It gets the sliding glass door glider nice and shiny but I will not use for windows when it's cold outside the temperature difference would shatter the window. I am very pleased with what it can do and the value. I have a shark handheld model that I have used the past few years which also impressed me beyond what I expected but it was not capable of the length of time I needed it for because of a smaller water resevoir. Also it does not have a floor attachment. Great product.Great price. If your looking for one buy it. Unless you are expecting miracles it really does do a good job.

product missing a gasket after purchasing one from hardware, product still won't work

I have used steam cleaners in the past and have always wanted to upgrage to a more commercial heavy duty cleaner. This is it. I have cleaned everything I can think of in the house. Also ,I use it on the interior of my car and the results are great. The only problem that I had or have is that it is missing a post to secure one of its wheels, but I couldn't give it up to send it back for a replacement.

The steamer is easy to use and has sufficient power to deep clean. The ability to control the steam flow is a very good concept for those items that require steam but may be on a delicate surface. The best part of this product is the attachments. You can apply your cleaner of choice to the surface and then use either the sponge or scouring pad to clean. I have three dogs, a cat and two boys so I have really put this item to the test. For the floor attachment you do have to vacuum the floors first or have a wet rag handy for debri but the cleaning is superb. The only negative is the soap injector. It does not work as I expected so I just apply my product to the surface prior to steaming. It was packaged very poorly - no protective foam or padding. I was concerned about damage, and the soap injector was damaged, but Overstock replaced it immediately with no questions asked. Overall I am very pleased. I have only had it for a month so I hope there are no mechanical problems over time which is why I replaced my Shark with this one.

great price, good quality, has variety of attachments so wide range of functions

We have white grout on our floors and used everything we could think of to keep it clean - especially with 2 dogs in the house. After searching the web we came across the Fantham steam cleaner. WOW, the white grout looked as if we just regrouted and all we did was use little effort to steam the dirt and grime away. The metal brush used to clean the grout wore out quickly and it looks as if we need to replace it already. I have not tried the steamer on all my cleaning projects yet but I am looking forward to seeing the same results. If you have dirty grout this machine is worth it even though it was more than I wanted to spend but based on the other cleaning machines on the market the price was fair. It also shipped well within the timeframed we were given.

I purchased this steamer to assist me as I have had extensive surgery and my arm and hand no longer work well. I was mistaken by the product information posted. The steamer does not hold steam pressure very long while doing easy household cleaning. It takes longer to wait for the steam to rebuild than it does to do the actual manual labor. I do not recommend this product as it is expensive and is cumbersome.

The only problem I have is it only comes with the one cleaning cloth. YOu have to order more to clean more than one room. Well anyway I did. I have 6 dogs running around on tile floors and one cloth just didnt get the job done. Now I can do the whole house. They should give 3 at least....
