    THIS IS A HIGH QUALITY FAN WHICH COMPLEMENTS MY ROOM DECOR QUITE WELL. I GIVE IT ONLY FOUR STARS FOR TWO REASONS: 1. THERE IS A PATTERN IN THE LIGHT COVERS WHICH WAS A SURPRISE TO ME AS IT IS NOT VISIBLE IN THE PHOTO. I DON'T CARE FOR THE PATTERN BUT I AM GETTING USED TO IT. IT IS NOT BAD BUT THE BUYER NEEDS TO BE AWARE OF THIS. 2. THE REMOTE HAS SOME DIFFICULTY OPERATING THE LIGHTS AND FAN. MY GUESS IS THE REMOTE SENSOR ANTENNA IS TOO HIDDEN WITHIN THE FAN MECHANISM AND THERE IS NO WAY TO FIX THIS BECAUSE IT IS A DESIGN PROBLEM.

    • Thank you for contacting us concerned06. The receiver is integral to the fan and the light and fan are controlled by the receiver. There is no power wire at the top of the fan for the light circuit. It is all connected at the bottom of the fan via the receiver.Unfortunately no the fan and light cannot be switched separately on wall switches. Please let us know if you have any further questions.
