Fallsburg 1-light Heirloom Bronze Fluorescent Mini Pendant Fixture

I bought 3 of these pendant lights and one larger pendant light that matched the smaller ones, to use in a kitchen that I am remodeling. I returned them all, for the following reasons: 1) the larger unit came with broken glass in the box. 2) the ad for the larger unit may have mentioned that it used a florescent bulb, but did not mention that it takes a special round fluorescent tube, and did not use the standard "medium base" socket that most lights use. I would expect that the special type of bulb would be very hard to find, and there is just no reason not to support standard bulb technology. 3) the smaller units went back because the larger light was unacceptable, and I need a set of lights that match. Too Bad. I really liked the way these lights looked and would have been very happy with them if they used standard light bulb bases instead of special light sockets and special bulbs. I wanted to put LED bulbs in them. What really annoys me is that even though the primary problems were a) broken glass and b) incomplete product descriptions, Overstock dinged me heavily for returning them. It makes me much less likely to take a chance on OS again in the future. With Amazon and Costco, it doesn't cost anything to return unacceptable product - especially when they are damaged or inaccurately described. In my opinion, Overstock no longer offers the excellent deals and the great customer service that they did when they started.
