Fagor Slow Juicer

My family all own a Hurom juicer and have been raving about theirs for the last year, so when I saw this, I thought Wow- it's the same thing but $100 cheaper! I should have known it was too good to be true. I bought more than one, because I have a couple weddings to attend, but boy, did I make a bad judgment call. The juicer doesn't produce juice as it's described. First of all, my husband and I were surprised by how loud the juicer is. We were under the impression that slow juicers were quieter. Then, we juiced carrots and apples (one of our favorite combos) only to find extremely pulpy juice. We had to practically chew our juice, and huge chunks of pulp were stuck inside. We had to keep opening the lid, to push the chunks through. The weirdest thing about this juicer though is that a bunch of the juice pools inside the bowl and you can't get it out. We tried turning it on and off- even in reverse. The only way we could get the juice out of the darned juicer was to physically pick up and tilt the whole machine! It was comical. I should add that we read the whole manual and followed all the directions exactly as the manufacturer recommends. My sister came over the other day, so we asked her to bring her Hurom so we could compare, and her juicer worked perfectly. Ours underperformed again. I know it's our fault for not doing more research before buying this product. I've learned my lesson..... don't skimp on quality, especially for an expensive appliance.

• Please tell us about the quality of the product. Poor- the edges are so sharp that I cut my hand taking it out of the box. The plastic also feels very cheap.
