induction cooktop
from kansas city,  Aug 19, 2009

We purchased this appliance for an apartment that we rent out that did not have a stove. Since space in this 450sf apartment is at a premium, it's perfect in that it can be stored (safely) away when not in use and taken out easily when needed. It is a little bit loud and when it first arrived I tested it with my stainless steel pans. It didn't work even though it should have. It does work great with my shabu shabu pan and my cast iron pan and it worked for our current tenant. He said it heats up faster than any gas stove he's ever used. It might prove to be an issue later for future tenants who do not have compatible pans, but otherwise, it was a great value for the price.

Three raves
from Sacramento, California,  Sep 26, 2008

This is the most powerful, economical, and aesthetically designed single element 110 VAC induction burner available. So good I bought three, but I'm being careful because the cases are plastic..

Cool Cooking
from New Jersey,  Aug 14, 2009

With the right cookware and knowledge of what heat level to cook on, the final product will always come out perfect. With the exception of boiling somethingon #10,, I hardly go above level 3. Won't heat up the kitchen for sure!
