    I'll be using this cooker a lot. I've made three meals with the Pressure setting and all were done fine. Going by their timing is essential. If you've used a standard pressure cooker, you know how fast they do up meats. The Fagor may take a bit longer, but there's no noise at all and chicken breast comes out juicy. Clean up is a matter of a few seconds. I like the light weight pot. Great for taking right to the fridge with leftovers.

    I love this little machine. I have never used a pressure cooker before but recent events in my life have left me very little cooking time. I cooked my first meal in it using the cookbook included. Pork chops and potatoes....it was ridiculously easy and fast. Releasing the pressure after the cook time was done was a little scary, and sent my cat sailing down my basement stairs, but other than that, I can't complain. The removable cookpot is great for easy clean up.

    Large capacity, first time I used it I browned and cooked a 4 lb Pot Roast in half the time. Rice cooker also worked great, restaurant quality rice. Pressure cooked vegetables don't lose their color. Sturdy design, easy to use.

  • Works amazingly well but died abruptly

    I bought this item, and it worked rather well. As described, it makes everything from rice to pot roast and functions as a rice cooker, a slow cooker, and a pressure cooker. I used it four or five times a month until just after the warranty expired. A minor part failed and was replaced, and then the entire unit died suddenly in the middle of a cycle, ruining our dinner. Repair costs about as much with shipping as a new unit, so I am rather disappointed.

    My beef with this product is that it passes itself off as a pressure cooker and does not tell consumers that it only is capable of 9 psi, far short of the industry standard. The pressure cooker cookbook by Lorna Sass calls for between 12 and 14 psi for her recipes. I gave it away without opening it as soon as I read the instruction book.

    This has become my go-to kitchen appliance. It makes perfect rice in less than 10 minutes. Browns food in the pot so you can deglaze and then add additional ingredients. (Yeah! Only one pot to wash.) The slow-cooker and pressure-cooker functions are excellent. I had never used a pressure cooker before and was a little nervous, but my anxieties were unnecessary. The accompanying cookbook and instruction booklet are excellent. I love this thing!
