    • Fagor Multi Cooker

I love this little machine. I have never used a pressure cooker before but recent events in my life have left me very little cooking time. I cooked my first meal in it using the cookbook included. Pork chops and potatoes....it was ridiculously easy and fast. Releasing the pressure after the cook time was done was a little scary, and sent my cat sailing down my basement stairs, but other than that, I can't complain. The removable cookpot is great for easy clean up.

    • Great Cooker

Large capacity, first time I used it I browned and cooked a 4 lb Pot Roast in half the time. Rice cooker also worked great, restaurant quality rice. Pressure cooked vegetables don't lose their color. Sturdy design, easy to use.

    • My Go-To Appliance

This has become my go-to kitchen appliance. It makes perfect rice in less than 10 minutes. Browns food in the pot so you can deglaze and then add additional ingredients. (Yeah! Only one pot to wash.) The slow-cooker and pressure-cooker functions are excellent. I had never used a pressure cooker before and was a little nervous, but my anxieties were unnecessary. The accompanying cookbook and instruction booklet are excellent. I love this thing!

    • Love it!

Since receiving this multicooker, I have made numerous items in it and all turned out really well. I cooked a whole chicken to make soup, the meat was tender and juicy. It is also really fast with the pressure cooking function. I didn't think pressure cooker soup could have that great taste of simmered all day soup, but it is great! Now I have wonderful homemade chicken soup in the freezer. I've made the rice pudding recipe (cookbook included) twice - first time in my life I've made really good rice pudding and it's all done in about 30 mins. I've cooked dried beans super quick. Clean up is relatively quick and easy. The nonstick inner pan really is nonstick. The instruction book is easy to understand. I really think this is a worthwhile purchase as I am now planning to donate my rice cooker and crockpot to a charity and free up some storage space.

    • Excellent purchase.

This is an appliance every kitchen should have. Dinner is always ready when I get home. Love the easy clean up. Rice cooker has cut cooking time of whole grain brown rice to 12 minutes. Excellent. Will recommend to anyone.

    • The kitchen electric I would take with me first

I have another regular pressure cooker but since my brother-in-law went to the burn unit with a pressure cooker accident, I have been reluctant to use the manual one. I originally saw this device on "Chef Brad: and I loved the safety feature and the fact that the insert comes out to clean it. I wish I had purchased this first instead of the other multi-cooker from the TV shopping program. This is so much better made. I use this thing so much, I bought the steamer basket and another insert so I always have a clean pot in case I want to make veggies to go with the main dish. I love this thing for veggies (2 minutes and they are done consistently). I also taped the cooking times inside of my cupboard so I don't have to hunt for the manual all the time. What I love best in this thing is steaming the veggies for corned beef and cabbage. I use beer and the salty taste of the corned beef can be pressured into the potatoes by the device. I don't have to have them swimming around and over cooking in the same pot with the brisket. It also lets me better time the whole dinner. The insert is very heavy duty compared to the one I got for the other device. I will have to look for a stainless steel insert because I would like to use the beaters in this thing and the insert is non-stick.. Right now I mash with a plastic masher.I also bought a stainless steamer basket and love that too. I give this as a wedding gift for the young girls who don't yet venture to cook because of the time. This cuts it down and makes cooking more fun. I found that putting the cooker on high pressure without putting the lid on, allows me to sauté for chili. or soups That was a great discovery. While it is not as large as a normal slow cooker as far as fitting meat in there, its versatility more than makes up for it. It never gets put away because I always have the next meal in mind. Truth be told, I have both the slow cooker and this device out all the time on the buffet because I use both of them so much. The only improvement I can think of is it would be nice to have a detachable cord like the ********* **** multi-cooker has and it would be nice to have a plastic steamer basket included with the product.

    • I love this cooker!

One appliance that is a slow cooker (high & low settings!), rice cooker, and a pressure cooker all in one! Cleans up very easily. Has an industrial/tech look on the shelf in my kitchen. Have cooked soups, pot roast, chowder and even dessert in this thing and it performs beautifully every time! This is the second one I've purchased; this one is for my daughter (to keep her from accidentally taking mine home!) Love it!

    • Saves the day and makes a great wedding gift

Fagor's 3-in-1 electric pressure cooker makes me look like a hero after poor dinner planning on a regular basis. Frozen chicken goes to succulent stewed chicken and dumplings or homemade soup, etc. in as little as an hour, and tastes like it slow cooked all day. I like my cooker so much that I give them as wedding gifts all the time and tip the brides that they can scratch the "rice cooker" from their registry. Wish they made it in a larger 8-quart capacity.

    • Still in the 'getting to know you' phase

This is my first pressure cooker and I bought it after reading a glowing ode to pressure cookers by Mark Bittman in the New York Times. After looking at the many options available (I wanted electric as I have an electric stove so I thought a stove top one would be too hard to control), this seemed to be the best reviewed and value for money. So it seems very well made and the directions are fairly easy to follow. Indeed, it makes awesome risotto in less than 20 minutes from start to serve. I also made a chicken stew that came out OK - not sure if it was the recipe or the pot. Haven't used the slow cooker or rice cooker features yet. I know people find this appliance indispensable but I still love my Kitchenaid crockpot. I know I just have to spend some time figuring out how to best use it. My one concern is that the gasket does seem to retain the smell of what has been cooked even after handwashing and soaking. I don't want to put it in the dishwasher as the directions don't indicate if that is safe for the gasket (taken off the lid - of course). I have researched fixes as this seems to be common among pressure cookers, and the best seems to be putting 1 cup white vinegar and 1 cup water in pot on high pressure for 20 minutes. I am going to try that. We'll see. I guess the jury is still out.

    • Did not last, kept odors from previous meals

I was very excited to get this cooker. I used it to to make rice, potatoes and then as a slow cooker for a pot roast. As a pressure cooker it did a pretty good job, but the seal did not last. After making the first pot roast I could not get the beef smell out of the lid. I tried for weeks, but EVERYTHING I cooked after that had a beef taste to it. I tried making cider for last Thanksgiving and even THAT tasted like beef - YUCK! I will not get another 3 in 1 cooking appliance. I would rather get a separate rice, cooker, pressure cooker, slow cooker.
