Had been considering this cabinet for weeks and finally purchased in the white. I consider myself an experienced furniture assembler who enjoys it and my home is crammed with "rustic" assembled pine furniture, so I discounted the remarks about "wobbliness" and other issues. Well, pride goes before a fall. While made of very soft, lower grade pine with plenty of filler, there seems to have been some care done in the design and assembly instructions. The hardware is various, the cams are strong but the additional screws strip easily. For the most part, holes were drilled correctly, more or less. I coped with 1) Big holes for the thin dowels were lavishly filled with wood glue, but at least all the holes were drilled deeply enough. 2) Re-drilled enlarged cam holes were off in 2 spots, so when the cams were tightened the wood split a bit, also glued 3) Off-drilled pilot holes for the doors - by deliberately forcing the screws I got the doors more or less straight, but the cheap hinge design doesn't allow for adjustment. In the future I may replace the hinges and the plastic shelf pins (I added 1 inch L brackets already top and bottom for more stability). 4) A knob pulled off immediately - there is a little metal collar in the knob to hold the screw, bu the pine is so soft it just pulls out - replaced with longer wood screw. When assembly was over, I had a headache, an eye twitch, and had to go lay down for a while. But, you get this together and it is just so gosh-darned cute, fit the space in my tiny kitchen perfectly, the 5-foot height is great as it fits under fixed shelving and you can put stuff on top, and it's real wood - now assembled I am very happy with it. With all the issues there are a lot of good things to say, like the pre-drilled holes in the pressboard back, the sides are not plywood, the holes were mostly drilled correctly and it went together square (no pounding with a rubber mallet), nice cream color, well-packed, good instructions, holds tall juice bottles etc., and the nice paneled doors. So I'd say purchase this with the reservation - have wood glue on hand, experience is useful, and so is having extra misc. hardware and tools. Definitely a rustic piece with a lot of charm when assembled - also fast ship from Overstock.
I just received this extra-tall cabinet in the antique white color and I'm not 100% happy with it. It has a crack in the wood in the lower door, which if I didn't have to ship all the way back, I would have returned. The bottom is also yellowed and it is top heavy, so much that it fell over while I was screwing the backside in and could have been a disaster had not someone been there to catch it for me. The top heaviness could definitely be an issue unless you put some heavy stuff maybe in the bottom. But, overall, its ok for the price and the fact that it is real wood is a plus. I wouldn't buy another, but its good enough to keep and not go through the hassle of sending back. If you are looking for cheap storage in a small space, then it is probably fine for that.
the pine cabinet is very nice, not bulky and easy to fit together, real pine wood and doesnt look out of place with the other furniture if you have a small apartment and it cannot fit in the kitchen.
I was very pleased with this product. I did not find the assembly as difficult as other reviewers, but there definitely were a few pre-drilled holes that were slightly misaligned. However, the extra effort to overcome these minor flaws was well worth it. The cabinet works well for my purposes and looks great.

Nice cabinet in my kitchen. The white stain used is OK, but will at least make good basecoat if I decide to repaint it later. There were no assembly instructions in the box, but it went together easy anyway.

Very poorly made product. Wood is bowed. Front door is cracked. Not sturdy. Top heavy.

The cabinet was a bit unstable, but with a few extra screws and some wood glue that issue was taken care of.

The doors do not fit properly. The top doors must be opened and closed at the same time or you can't close them at all. The bottom doors do not close completely as one of them does not fit properly. Very disappointed in the quality.

I love this cabinet. It is compact with a slim profile and fit right into our small kitchen. I added two extra shelves and now it can hold a lot of stuff in spite of being so compact. The light color allows it to blend well. I bought this for $***, which seemed to be a good price for this product considering it is unfinished pine. The new sticker price of $300+ seems too high.

CUTE CABINET--5 ft. tall -- so why it is called EXTRA TALL I d0n't know! It is as stated--5 ft tall. As expected for the money--cute, useful but not for kids! They would have it destroyed in a couple of months. For occasional piece, it is fine. Shoes only fit horizontally unless you wear a size 5 ladies! Again--cute, cheap, soft wood (handles did fall off and had to be glued as read on earlier reviews), but overall, serves it purpose. VERY THIN WOOD!
Product should not have been sold by overstock, it is of such inferior quality.

Not sure what the bad reviews are for. This was pretty easy to assemble (took just over an hour), has plenty of storage, and is sturdy enough.

I feel like u got ripped off on this one... very poor quality.... ALOT smaller than I expected ...wanted it as extra storage in my kitchen.. so small almost nothing fits...I would say if I saw this in a store I wouldn't pay more than $50 for it... I was not satisfied with this purchase

The assembly was simple and painless. The cabinet fits perfectly in my tiny kitchen and allows for more storage than it looks like. I'm very happy with it.

I knew that this wasn't going to be a beautiful piece of fine furniture. I just wanted it for storage. But for $$$, you would think that the quality would be quite a bit better. If I had seen this in person, completely assembled, for $50, I would NOT have bought it. But, I ended up getting it for $$$ on line, and it took a LOT of time to assemble. Thin, cheap. I actually try not to look at it as I pass it! It is in my upstairs hallway, so it is kind of out of the way. I just didn't feel like going thru the trouble of sending it back because it was too heavy for me to deal with. So even tho it had a crack in it, and just wasn't nice at all, I assembled it, so that I could finish organizing the area. But the whole time I was assembling it, I kept saying to myself, "What a piece of crap." And even tho I have bought other things on line from overstock.com, this particular purchase makes me wonder if I should be doing so much on-line shopping. Like I said, I wouldn't have pain $50 for it completely assembled. :(

Very poor quality cabinet!! Put it together and they used the cheapest wood! The pieces were bowed and had cracks. Not pretty cracks or knots like in decent wood. I bought it thinking that since is was real wood that it would be better than particle board. Which it is better than particle wood but I wish I would of spent more on a nicer cabinet! Had to replace all hardware. The hardware was very cheap!! Would not recommend buying this!

The original description of "extra tall" is misleading, but of course, you should always check the dimensions. The cabinet is nice looking, but pretty poor construction, and certainly not for families with kids. I was putting things in it to begin with and my 18 month old daughter was playing with one of the doors and bent it a little and not it won't shut at all. For what we paid, I'm not impressed.

Everything was very nice, only problem I found was the hinges on the doors. They do not let the doors open wide enough to enter the cabinet, swing open hinges would be ideal. This type of hinge could cause the doors to be broken trying to open wide enough. Otherwise, it is an excellent cabinet for my my extra storage and so happy I spotted it on line. Julie

- Please tell us about the quality of the product. Good quality however the hinges should be the type that the door can swing all the way open, it's too narrow of a space to enter with this plain hinge.

I bought the cabinet because I don't have enough kitchen cabinets and this cabinet does exactly what I wanted it to do. I store my appliances in it-i.e. Food Processor, Mixer, Ice Cream Maker, Blender, and many more. It may be lightweight but it looks fantastic,

- Please tell us about the quality of the product. I like the fact that it is real pine wood, the wood is thin but I don't care because it's real wood.
