Thermostat Problems
This product had a defective thermostat when i received it, so it did not heat properly (the highest 150 degress food temp setting only heated to 100 degrees air temp-- should have been 170 degrees air temp or so). Turns out Excalibur is known for thermostat problems. The simplistic design results in inaccurate heating. Excalibur customer service was horrible (their technician never returned my call or email), so I just returned it to Overstock for a refund, and purchased a L'Equip. Overstock customer service was great.

Good product
Product is good. The only issue is when I opened the box and took the product out, there was a crack on the panel of the sliding door. A bit disappointing but I can still use the product. One thing to note if you are buying from overseas is that you will need to buy a voltage transformer if where you are the voltage is higher than 120 (ie 240). I was already aware of that and it still turns out to be a much better price when buying from overstock!

This is a very good product, easy to use. I wish the instruction booklet had more info on jerky recipes, etc. But, you can find just about anything you want on youtube or other places on the internet.
