Mattress
It's a really comfortable mattress, I've been sleeping on it for three weeks every night so far and it's still very comfortable. When it came out of the packaging it smelled a little like cap nip. However when I put my sheets on it and use a pillow I can not tell at all. Overall I'd buy it again.

Futon mattress was exactly what I was looking for
I ordered mattress for my grandson's futon and he is very happy with it. It fit perfectly and is very comfortable so he said. This is his choice of sleeping rather than a bed so I am happy it worked out for him.
- Please tell us about the quality of the product. The spring mattress for the futon is very comfortable and the microfiber cover is just what a teenage boy needs in his room.

Comfortable mattress
A nice mattress and quite comfortable even for every-day use. A couple of things to keep in mind: The manufacturer takes about a week to ship the mattress (from California) so don't expect it to arrive immediately. The microfiber cover is part of the mattress, not a separate cover, so you will still need a separate futon cover to protect it. As another reviewer noted, it does smell like catnip when you unwrap it (but that goes away quickly).
