I received the chair and ottoman very quickly, and both were in good shape when retrieving from the box. The assembly was very easy, but since you're right up close to all the inner construction while assembling, you can see the workmanship---with which I'm not completely impressed. And, as mentioned by someone else--the velcro on the back, though hidden pretty well, is kinda unappealing. I don't really think it looks like a 'quality' piece of furniture.I bought a chair and ottoman set from a local furniture store a few years back and paid the exact same price for that set as I did for this one---and the one purchased a few years ago is much better quality.

Once it's all put together, it's a good looking, comfortable chair. BUT... assembly is not easy. The four bolts which hold on the wood base were missing and had to be sent separately, and when they arrived, almost a week later, it became apparent that one of the holes was mis-drilled, so there are only three bolts holding on the base (not really a huge deal).

Was disappointed I thought you got the ottman too. My fault tho...a oversight...Overstock should not pictured the ottman if it isn't included..it throught me off. It was hard to put together the bolts had to be cut and two holes didn't line up..Now that its together it look just like I thought it would

Overall I would say that while these chairs look like they do in the picture, they are not quite as high quality as I was hoping for. I would not have paid full price for this chair, but it is a decent value for the price it is offered at. The bottom frame doesn't line up properly with the chair, the cushions are not as comfortable and firm, and the material is not as high quality compared to the custom couch we bought at a local furniture store. At the same time, these chairs are half of the price I would have paid for most chairs and are functional. Also, these chairs are a little shorter than most couches. I think it depends on your goals for your home. If your priority is your budget and functionality, then these chairs will do the trick. A few years ago when I was in college, I probably would have been perfectly happy with these chairs. But now I am wanting to buy furniture that I truly love, so I should have just been willing to wait until I could afford the matching chairs to my couch.

My boyfriend and I looked online for months for a chair for our living room. We wanted a chair and ottoman that would be comfy and look nice, but not break the bank. This chair and matching ottoman have it all. It is big and squishy and thus far seems to be holding up the the abuses of our 80lb puppy. We love it. Also, we are not small people and we can both snuggle in it together. It is awesome! We did have to add some throw pillows as the back isn't that padded, but that is no biggie. Highly recommend this chair and matching ottoman!

This chair is great to look at but not to sit on. The seat is hard and uncomfortable.

I read all of the reviews as I've never bought furniture sight unseen but decided to take a chance. I ordered a chair and the sofa and they were here within minutes! (so it seemed). I assembled the couch first but don't do it at night, you need good light. After that the chair was a snap. I really like the chair, it's wide, maybe enough for two people but I haven't tried it. I have it in my bedroom because of the Xmas tree in the living room but now I really like it in there so I'm going to buy another one for the living room once the holidays are over. It's firm which I like, color is good, no idea how it will wear, time will tell. Good stuff, I like it!

We absolutely love our chair. It's attractive, well made, comfortable and sturdy. It was easy to put together. It makes our living room look much more modern and people come over and say "what good taste you have."

The day I received chair I thought all I needed to screw on were the legs. Than I found out I had to put the whole chair together and some holes do not match and after hours of finishing the chair the legs are not balanced so now I have pieces of cartoon under the legs. This is a bedroom piece so no one will see the chair.

I really like this chair; it's appearance and comfort, but feel I was midled by the picture and description which makes it seem as though the ottoman and chair are one purchase when in fact they are two.

The product took 14 days to arrive it had been sent to the wrong shipping point. When it arrived the carton was battered and retaped . On inspection the chair was in good shape however, the assembly directions were for a sofa and not the chair. The bolts and washers sere scattered throughout the carton and were substatially less than required. I purchased the missing components locally. The chair is comfortable and nice looking.

I bought this chair along with the sofa because I basically threw away my old furniture when I moved. Anyway, it came in one huge box that the UPS guy helped me carry into my apartment. There were no instructions and the hardware package worked itself open during shipping. However, upon digging through the box I found all the bolts and washers. Even without any instructions it only took me an hour to an hour and a half to put it together. I just looked at all the pieces and put them together. All of the bolt holes lined up perfectly. I wish the backrest was angled a little more, but overall the chair is pretty comfortable and sturdy.

This is a gorgeous chair! It is so comfortable that the first time I sat in it, I fell asleep. It was somewhat difficult to assemble. The holes for the bolts did not match up. The instructions said not to tighten the bolts all the way at first. I found that they had to be as loose as possible to match up all of the holes. The wooden base is still not exactly square with the chair. I would have had to re-drill the holes to get it square. The package was short one bolt and I stripped another. After a trip to the hardware store and a successful search (at home) for a ratchet with an allen attachment, assembly went much smoother. So...A pain to assemble, but when all is said and done, I am completely satisfied with my purchase. I absolutely love the finished product!

I love my chair, had to assemble, but that was expected. It was relatively easy to assemble. I am a woman and I put it together with no problem. I do love my chair.....after much sitting though, the chair pillow is a little warped (guess I should have changed over more often)....Overall I love my little cozy chair. Also has enough room for two people.

my kid and I can fit in this chair and be lounge lizards. it's a nice chair for the money, but the quality is lower. i'd buy another one if they were still available.

I ordered this chair and the matching ottoman and received them both less than a week later. Can't beat the shipping price. Set up was a breeze and overall I am thrilled with it as I am with just about every piece of furniture I have gotten from this site. The color is true to its web picture, the seat cushion is a little stiff as some have mentioned but they always soften over time. A nice feature is that the cushion is not attached so it can be turned as necessary. It is a little shorter in the back than I imagined but it serves its purpose, as an extra accent chair in my bedroom. I added a little roll pillow to it in a bright color and it's great! It fits me and my daughter or dog...who ever gets there first! Love it!

Excellent price on a great piece of furniture. It is sturdy, beatiful fabric with nice, smooth feel. I would highly recommend. Pair with the matching ottoman to make it complete It is comfortable and roomy enough to fall asleep. It greatly added to our room décor with several comments from guests. I give FIVE star rating in all catagories and highly recommend this product

the product was great but they didn't put a very good quality foam in the cushion--was easy enough to fix. Wish I didn't have to but I did--

The chair looks like the one I ordered but it is in pieces. The frame is broken and we will not get a replacement until the end of the month. The color was just as it was on overstock.com. The material of the chair looks to be good and everything else looks good but will know better when it is finally put together.

It is exactly what I thought it would be - even a little more comfortable than I expected. The material is a little thin - so I don't know if will last the test of time - but for the price it is very good quality. It was very easy to put together - I put the couch, ottoman. and the chair together by myself in one night.
