The unit has fair suction. It is powerful when held closely to the matter to be vacuumed, but it has a LOW flow rate, meaning even a short distance away the vacuum is very weak. We use the vacuum to remove pesky fruit-flies and at about 2-3 inches from the nozzle, most of these tiny flies can escape the vacuum, something they could not do when we used our old (now broken) cordless hand-vacuum. The vacuum is quite noisy and has a very high "starting torque". Unless you hold on well when you start it up, it wants to twist out of your hand. We are in our eighties and it DID jump out of my wife's grip, the first time she used it. It is very effective to suck up debris from carpets and floors, provided you can get close to it. We would probably purchase it again and with the caveats, recommend it to friends..

Used it once to clean my car, works well. Should have come with a bag of some kind for all the parts, have to keep in original box for storage in closet.

I originally purchased this item because of all the great reviews it was given. And the price was right for my budget, too.I've only used the vacuum a few times. The first time I used it, I was very impressed with the strength of the suction of this vacuum. For some reason, in the next few uses the suction weakened considerably. Now it hardly even picks up a dust bunny on the floor! Very disappointed. I did not purchase the extended warranty, might have been a good idea. The description shows a 1 year manufacturer warranty so I may look into that.

My Euroflex is a very good vaccumm cleaner, I would highly recomend it. The Vaccum cleaner I purchased was refurbished and it looked new and performed like it was new and the price was a bargain.Solozorro

After my Shark died, I looked for several months for the appropriate replacement. Not until I found this on Overstock was my void fulfilled. The only bad thing is that it gets very hot and I have to turn it off to cool down every five minutes. But since it's for detailing anyway, that's not a bother.
