I bought the vac to pick up the tremendous amount of dust that collects everywhere here in Afghanistan. It does a good job on the dust and loose small particles. It's only drawback is that the very fine dust that is here requires you to clean out the dust filter very often. The filter is easy to remove and clean, but it has to be done often to keep the vacuum pulling. This dust is super fine, so I doubt if it would be a problem with sand, etc. Very handy. The rotary brush that can be attached is a definite plus for carpets.
This is a factory refurbished item. It seems to function properly, and I am impressed by the suction. The powerhead accessory is very useful. The only flaw with the refurb was that the wall bracket was missing from the package.
I had the worst dust buster before this one so I really wasn't expecting much but this thing is great! It's really powerful and the brush on it is awesome! Great product, great value!
