Eureka Optima Lightweight Bagless Upright Vacuum (Refurbished)

I bought the Optima because of its size and power. I was amazed by this thing the first couple of times I used it, it picked up so much dirt and hair compared to my old vac.And then all of the problems started.The cannister is set up so that the filter has a little piece that sticks out and catches all of the fur, holding it all on the top and clogging the filter. I have to empty the cannister at least a couple of times for each room because the fur catches at the very top of the filter and blocks everything up.Emptying the cannister is pretty disgusting. There's fur wrapped around the filter at the top that you have to manually pick out, and you have to take the filter out to empty the stuff at the bottom.The filter clogs easily and needs to be taken outside and cleaned often by tapping it to knock off the caked on dirt.Also, the suction had become unreliable. Sometimes if I'm using it for more than 10-ish minutes the suction will stop, but the motor and the brush will still be going.I only have one dog and one cat so it's not like I have a huge amount of fur to vacuum up.I was in love with this vac for the first couple of uses but now I'm sorry I bought it. I would absolutely NOT buy this again.

When I bought the vacuum I loved it, it worked well, was light and stored very nicely. However, about a year after I had it, it just died on me. The brush was still spinning however, it was not cleaning up the carpet. It sounded like the motor was running but that was just about it. It is not fun to clean out as well, and I had to clean it out a lot to maintain.

Ordered on Monday, and received it by Friday. It is lightweight, and really picks up a lot. Its easy to clean, and it doesn't get clogged like a lot of other vacuums. I love it, and am thrilled with overstock! (I can't even believe it was refurbished! It looks brand new)

Great product at a good price. I have very impressed. I like the way it is light enough to get from room to room. I would gladly buy again.

I just recieved this today...it only took 3 days. Thank you Overstock. It came in very good condition-totally assembled, which I appreciate. I tried it right away, & really am impressed by it's power for such a little machine. It's easy to manouver, and fits into tight spaces, which is great for me. The power cord accomodates my small apt. I like it a lot. My only reason for not giving it 5 stars overall is that the cleaning of the filter is a bit of a hassle and not pleasant or easy. It needs to come with a cleaning brush. I guess I'll get something for that. I didn't rate it for durability, because it's too soon to know, but it looks sturdy enough.Overall, I would recommend it to a friend who wants something small, lightweight, easy to store and with good cleaning power.
