I bought the first one of these for the downstairs, so the kids wouldn't have to haul the long hose for the built-in vac up and down the stairs. When it came, I tried it out ....I was so impressed, that I bought 2 more. One for each floor of our house. This vacuum cleaned like nothing I've ever seen and the price is so reasonable!! For that price, my expectations weren't much. I just wanted a vacuum to put downstairs that would work ok.Our carpets didn't appear to be that dirty. We vacuum fairly often because our carpets are very light colored....but the dust cup had lots of stuff in it. Yuk!! Needless to say, I am really impressed by this vacuum.

It's okay..but heavier and bulkier than I had hoped for. Also, the "dust cup", or whatever you call it, has to be emptied frequently...and it's a little inconvenient to take out to empty. I don't think I'll be keeping this vacuum very long!

i have had this vacuum for about 1 year. we've already had to replace parts on it that cost about half the price of the vacuum. it gets clogged repeatedly and we have to take it apart and remove stuff from the inside. (what a mess!) i've never had to do this with any other vacuums i've owned. i would not recommend it to anyone. the only good thing is it was less than $100, so i guess i got my money's worth...

I enjoy the ease of using this vacuum. I especially like how it's powered to go forward. It's great for those who don' t have much strength or maybe have thicker carpets.

My husband and I bought this vacuum about a year and a half ago. We are now looking for a replacement. This vacuum is a mess. It is heavy and hard to maneuver. We struggle to store it in our townhouse. The "paw" attachment which worked great for a while, stopped working shortly after we adopted our first cat! The vacuum does not work on bare floors. It just pushes dirt around. I stopped using it on bare floors and sweep instead. We used this vacuum to clean our house top to bottom before having friends over who are allergic to cats. Even those friends who have mild allergies still had major problems. I just don't think the vacuum picked up the cat hair. Top it off, the unit clogs CONSTANTLY! It pulls up a ton of carpet fiber and then it clogs and backs up in the hose. We routinely have to stick our hand up in the vacuum and pull out tons of fiber and debris. Talk about dusty! The machine is messy. Even after a thorough cleaning, the dust cup just doesn't contain all of the junk. Don't even think about trying to use this monster on stairs. During the holidays it was totally ineffective at picking up pine needles and such. Not worth the budget price tag at all!

I have the exact same experience as the previous reviewer. I vacuum a hallway, a bedroom and a familyroom, once every 1wk-10days or so...Absolutely NO suction after less than a year PLUS that horrible burning smell which we can't find. Argh....total waste of money!!!! This thing is heavy and the hose doesn't extend far enough either.I'm getting a DYSON!!

When I first got this vacuum (which I bought new) it was GREAT. After about six months, there is NO suction at all and there is a burning smell when I vacuum. I have checked everything and cannot figure out what is wrong. I can use the extensions just fine, but the base of the vacuum, that you use to vacuum the floor does not work at all!! I have taken it apart, cleaned everything and still NO suction. My boss just bought one and I told him to take it back, it does not work after a few months!! I am very dissapointed in this vacuum.

I bought this vacuum and had it for about a year when it broke. I liked it okay so I bought another one thinking that I could use my old one for spare parts since my husband is very good at fixing things. The SAME part broke on my new vacuum only two months after I bought it. My husband looked at it and said that if I bought a third one, it was very likely the way they put the vacuum together that the same part would break. It worked great at sucking and cleaning but the parts they used for it do not last. This is a terrible vacuum and I would not buy this vacuum.

I ordered this vacuum knowing that mine was on it's last belt, but when it got here and I used it the first time I was shocked (and embarassed) by the amount of DIRT it was pulling out of my carpet. With 2 boys and 2 dogs and a cat, I knew I would get pet hair and some dirt, but this was pulling out the silty, sandy stuff that you usually find when you replace your carpet. The stuff that gets down in and under the carpet pad. I vacuumed the same little carpeted area in our hall, where you first enter the house and after the 6th time, I will still getting the sandy stuff. This vacuum really SUCKS! It is not awkward to use and moves across the carpet very easily. Although I think the cord wrap handles should stick out a little farther so you can wrap up the cord easier, if that is the least of my objections to this vacuum, then I am not to worried. This is a refurbished unit, but came looking brand new, in a brand new box with all the pieces. You would never know it was refurbished. Will definately buy another one when this one dies!

Arrived VERY fast, very easy to pu together. Is a little hard when not on to push. Very good suction and easy to empty. Defently worth the price!

This was refurbished but was new in the box as far as I could tell. My husband and I were so pleased with the performance of this vacuum. We want to sell them and use an at home video as to it's performance. It was unbelieveable how well it worked. It was a bit gross as to how much stuff it picked up. We have two dogs and lots of hair and this works beautifully. The attachments are great too. The furniture attachment works great. No complaints and would definitely encourage anyone to buy this vacuum. Great price through O.com!!

The price wasn't competitive - I saw it for less at Lowe's, but I bought it so it could be shipped to my daughter. It quite after only a few uses!

I have been watching this vacuum on this site for awhile now trying to decide to buy or not. I felt the reviews were great especially since I have two dogs. My old vacuum was beyond time to replace. My waiting was a good thing resulting in a 20% off sale. I ordered it. It arrived yesterday and last night I put it to the test. UNBELIEVABLE!! It is the greatest vacuum anyone could own if they have pets and carpets. I have a variety of carpet thicknesses and textures and it worked great on all. My husband and I were SHOCKED at the hair and dust and dirt that came off our floors (as well as a bit grossed out!) We feel like our space is so much cleaner and will continue to remain so. As one review said "it's like you have new carpets". BUY THIS VACUUM!

I brought this product back in September. It has already broke. After my first use of the product it was barely picking up any dirt off the floor. Now after using it the dirt falls right back out and it has started smoking either going to have the product repaired or have to buy another one. I would not recommend this prduct to family or friends

I bought this for my upstairs, does a very good job, I have 2 cats, and it picks up cat hair better than anything. I would recommend this to my friends. It does a great job and I love the onboard attachments. Very good Value.

My son gave this to me for Christmas and I LOVE IT!!! It was absolutely amazing to see what it picked up after I had just ran my old vacuum. The extra long hose is awesome! I've called my son 2 more times since Christmas just to tell him thank you and how much I love it. (I did tell him exactly where to go to get my gift :)He also purchased the 2 year agreement -- because it's a refurbished product. So far, refurbished has been wonderful to me. THANKS OVERSTOCK.COM

I like the vacuum for the price. It has great suction and easy to move around. However, it is very heavy to carry upstairs and is heavy to hold onto while doing the stairs. But you can not beat it for the price.

When me and my wife first got this product we were excited to see how great it worked on its first run. The next few days, the quality went down hill. The hose that plugs into the vacuum-continuously kept falling out. The vacuum' pump kept getting clogged and cleaning it is a messy hassle.

I had this vacuum for less than a year, and used it once a month at most. Recently the machine started smoking and gave off a bad burning smell and now has poor suction. (It's not the belt and the machine is clean of debris) I am a college student and can't afford to replace/fix this expensive piece of junk. I would not reccomend this machine.

This vacuum is easy to use. The only thing I do not like is that the canister does not hold much. Except for that, I really like and have bought one for my niece who also likes hers.
