  • Don't waste your money on Eureka

    I thought I will write this in and save many people of vacuum woes since I just dump mine - this Eureka model- left it on the front yard for scrap to pick up since it is not even working to sell as a used item. I'd bought it from Walmart a year and a half back, and it has been a pain. The thing is if I knew how lousy it was, I would not even think $** is worth paying. And it's bragging sticker on the vacuum front "better than Dyson" is even unethical. Here are all its problems: 1) Very, very noisy yet awful suction power. 2) Design is faulty as the suction hose is attached to a 'U' at the back of the vacuum so that when you try and pull it moving backwards, and rolling and getting caught in its own electrical wires, and it keeps toppling over onto you when you try and reach the sides of the walls. 3) It comes with a few suction devices and in the end, I had to just use the suction hole because when you attached the suction head and brush, the suction becomes even less power and you keep pushing the hose back and forth on a speck ( say 2 mms thick) and it would not suck so in the end, you are all over the floor, picking up the visible specks. I am presuming it at least sucks up dust that your eyes will not see easily. 3) After every five or so minutes, you have to hit the hose upside down on the floor so that the hair strands, dust balls will (if you're at the correct angle...) falls into the vacuum container - again a sign of very bad suction design. Loud and useless is how I would rate any Eureka product. It's truly a case of once bitten twice shy. Don't waste that $***-$*** - go save and buy something better. A good vacuum should at least last five years. The day I wrote this review (March 2016), like I say I dumped the Eureka out because, you know what... after two years, while vacuuming my son's room, the electrical just stopped - replugged, start - nothing... I am not sure which part of the electrical system died, but there it is, won't start anymore. My partner bought this. I would never invest in such a lousy brand.
