my husband assembled this desk with no complaints. its surprisingly sturdy and good quality for the inexpensive price - def better than what you'd get at an ikea-type store.. a bit larger in person than pictured. perfect for the guest room. there was a small bit of damage to one of corners but since it was in the back and would placed against the wall in such a way that you’d hardly notice, I decided to keep it.

This desk arrived quickly and was assembled in less than 1/2 hour with no problems! It is a quality piece, especially for the price, and perfect for a desk for my daughter. It could also be used easily as a sofa or hall table and look great!

I ordered this desk to update my college room and for something that was more simple and more elegant than my previous desk. It was amazingly affordable and I love the quality of the piece. A house mate and I put it together in about forty-five minutes, including a few mess-ups on our part. The directions are simple and the assembly required little muscle power and no tools. The color is a little darker than the picture online was, but it suits the rest of my room perfectly. I would definitely recommend this both as a starter desk and as a perfect laptop desk for any room that needs a simple touch!

I got this product TWO DAYS after I ordered it - and had it assembled in literally 15 minutes. A few reviews mentioned that others have had more difficulty, but I'm glad I went ahead and tried my luck. Drawers are operational, everything fit neatly and snugly into place - without tools, I can't believe it! Mine was made of real wood, no particle board (except maybe the drawers, I didn't look closely). Heavy, sturdy, attractive. I love Overstock.com!

This desk is perfect for a laptop, it has a draw where the laptop can slide right into for when I don't want it out. I have it in my living room and it makes for a cute table without the bulk of a desk. It was VERY easy to put together also! Love it!

Great desk, would of gave it five star if it didn't make me sick assembling it. It has Formaldehyde. If i new it was made of that cancer causing chemical i wouldn't have bought it. Just airing the smell out. Any way I'm using now as i I'm typing looks good overa ll wa t a wonde eful. ... (pass out).

I have never bought anything on-line before and was very skeptical. I purchased this on a Monday and it was on my front porch on Friday. It was packaged perfectly - so nothing would get damaged. It was so easy to put together - no tools needed. It is beautiful and I would reccomend it to anyone. I love it and I will shop again on Overstock.com - I am a skeptic no more.

This is a good looking writing desk made of pressed paper/card boards. The finish is between espresso and cherry. It is a little bit difficult to assemble (it took about 3 hours for me to put it together).

This is a nice looking desk, not too large with adequate storage. The finish did have a couple flaws, nothing that couldn't be touched up easily. The issue we had is with assembly. Directions were sketchy, and you assume by reading them that you need no tools. You need tools. Pliers and rubber mallet were essential to complete the assembly. Also the back bottom brace has exposed hardware used to assemble when finished.

This was a very nice desk. Unfortunately, some of the pieces were broken or damaged. Once I called, there was no hesitation and the replacement parts were immediately sent to me. Now my wife has a nice desk which she is very pleased with. I highly recommend this product and overstock.com

It is okay, and looks good, but hard to put them together. You need a realllllly strong person to tighten those nuts.

This desk looks great, but I had to make many modifications to get it put together, I dont think it was worth it. I was pleased with how well it was packaged when I received it. I received two right sides instead of a left and a right so I ended up having to drill holes into one side to make it work. Nothing lined up correctly and I also ended up having to use wood glue to put most of this together. It looks very nice, but I dont feel confident that it is sturdy, and will not put a lot on it. Only buy this if you have a lot of patience and tolerance and help to put it together.

this desk was the perfect size for my apt. it was easy to put together it took me about 15 minutes. i've had a desk like this before and was glad to find another one like it, it looks great and is perfect for my laptop, i hope you enjoy it as much as i do.

first of all I want to commend the company that distributes this product. I was shipped two of the same part. I called and they were wonderful. Even offered to give me their cell phone number to help me assemble it. customer service, wow, what a concept. Once I got the right part the product was assembled very easily. The workmanship is decent for the price. It's functional and what I expected. If you are expecting solid, fits like a glove workmanship, this is not it, but then it's not $500 either. The value for the price is very acceptable. highly recommend this for a 2nd desk.

I bought two of these little desks. The first one was nearly impossible to assemble and the second one was worse! I don't believe anyone could put one of these together without damage to the product or to oneself. They are sturdy and attractive (except for the crack and dings caused by assembly) but I would not recommend them to anyone.

My very handy husband and I put this together very quickly. But when we got to the final piece, the center drawer, it would only slide in halfway. We tried forcing it several times, to no avail. After a lot of pushing and pulling we discovered that the tracks that hold the ball bearings had been bent. My husband had to take all the ball bearings out and bend the metal back into place with pliers and then put each individual ball back into place carefully- around 32. After that it slid in perfectly. If I was alone I would have never figured that out, so if your not the handy/problem solving type I wouldn't get this desk! It is beautiful though and I love having it in our bedroom.

This desk works great for me. Little bigger than a computer stand but not as big as a standard desk. Style works well with a variety of decors. It did take two people to put it together and we had some issues with having to glue some of the pegs - I would not have been able to do it on my own. Drawer constrution could be better, but all-in-all, I love it.

Very dissapointed with this purchase. There was missing hardware, after waiting for two weeks for the company to ship the extras i decided to go and buy them by myself, the instructions didn't say the size, so the had to buy several screw sizes. When I finally started to assemble it, found out that there were defective parts and was impossible to assemble. Had to return the desk. Not the quality of furniture I'm used to buy from Overstock. Returning was easy.

This is a more beautiful piece of furniture than expected and was guite easy to assemble.

I thought this desk would be perfect for me. I love the color and size. Even the price was not bad, but I must return. The desk is difficult to put together. Instructions seems simple enough, but the mechanism to lock the pieces together does not work. Very disappointed, but must return.
