Shipment arrived pretty quick. I absolutely love the nespresso. Makes a great cup of cappucino and expresso. I would buy the cups from nespresso believe or not its actually alot cheaper than these other places selling the cups....

Great product/product results. Nervious at first with Refurbished item, no issues so far. A little noisey. Pods can only be bought through Nespresso site or imitation pods at bed bath beyond online only (havent tried yet).

The Pixie is great. It makes me smile at how easy it is to use. The average price at around $0.65 per cup isn't bad compared to other machines out there. I wish I had known that there would not be any capsules included with the machine. I would have ordered some. It was a tease to get the machine and have to wait several more days to use it the first time until I got some capsules shipped. Thankful for the Nespresso Boutique in Chicago's Bloomingdale's. I'll be stopping by there to get them from this point on. Glad I took the plunge to get this great product and an Overstock great price.

I have become a devoted fan of cappucchino at local coffee houses and wanted to duplicate it at home! I am still in the experimentation stage but absolutely love having this machine! It makes a great crema, the frothing mechanism provides the "rest of the story" and I am enjoying a cup or two every day. I am realizing that it, indeed, requires a "knack" to frothing correctly and I am getting better. Also, I am trying different coffees and decided to grind them at the store rather than use my general use grinder at home. All in all, I haven't encountered problems with tamping or packing too many grounds in the holder. The refurbished machine has provided a reasonably priced method to continue my desire for this great coffee at home. I may move up some day to a more expensive machine but this one really does it well!!!

It makes good coffee, although it's a little small. You need to let it cool completely before you can take the bottom off to make a new pot so if you drink more than one cup, I'd get the bigger size. The first few times you use it, it spits but someone warned me so I ran it through twice with just water and it's fine now.

As a refurbished item I wasn't expecting absolute perfection and I didn't get it. The overflow tray is slightly bent but not bad enough to cause any operational problem and isn't noticeable by anyone who doesn't clean the unit. It was supposed to come with a one cup filter, a two cup filter and a filter to hold the new little pre-packaged packets of coffee. It came instead with two one cup filters and a two cup filter, which actually suits my needs better. This would have been a problem if I had any interest in purchasing the pre-packaged one cup units of coffee. Overall I'm very pleased with the unit but with the minor defects can't rate it excellent. I will, however, give it an excellent for the cup of coffee it makes. I've had other units and they weren't as good. We travel to Europe regularly and this unit makes coffee exactly like the better quality bakeries have available there and I don't need to walk half a mile every morning for my great cup of coffee.

I was so excited to receive my espresso machine, but was quickly dismayed when the machine started malfunctioning. I've only had the machine for a few days and it is broken. At first it was dripping and spitting water which did not qualify as the perfect pull of espresso. I called the manufacturer and they refused to help me as Overstock is "not a authorized dealer." I simply wanted to know if my technique was off or if it had something to do with my espresso. Within 2 days grinds we're coming through as well as water dripping out. Today is day 7 and now the frother won't produce steam! I am so disappointed! This thing has a mind of its own!

This is truly a luxury item. I've had mine for six weeks and have gone through about two dozen espressos. It is a well built unit. I could not find anything in the packaging or in the unit itself that would be a tell-tale sign that it is a refurbished, and not a new, unit. It should take you about two minutes to read through the instruction manual and get the unit up and brewing. It works exactly as described. It makes a kind of a whoosh sound when dispensing the brew. Not a bad sound at all, a good kitchen sound. The unit does drip a bit after it has finished. Just two or three drips, not much more. I have been dealing with this by replacing the full cup with an empty cup when I am ready for my espresso. Easier to clean the cup then to clean the drip tray. I have been using Nespresso capsules exclusively. I have been buying the caps from their web site. The espresso costs about a buck a cup. The espresso is very smooth. A little foam on top as you would expect. It is not overly hot. If you really are looking for very hot espresso, you won't find it here. There are refillable caps available for this unit if you want to roll your own. Like I opened with, this is a luxury item. I have been satisfied with the Nespresso caps and I am not looking to save a few cents. For about the past ten years, I have been brewing espresso with a Bialetta, stainless steel stovetop unit. It was a pain to clean and impossible to de-scale. The BIaletta brewed espresso, usually Ilya or Lavazza , can be as hot as you want it and lot more bitter. I will be using the Bialetta a lot less going forward. There is no comparison with the convenience and ease of use between the two. Of course, the Bialetta is built to last a lifetime, it remains to be seen how the Nespresso holds up.

I am so delighted to have purchased a much needed machine at a great price. My old one had just stopped working. This new one functions well and is a very attractive addition to my kitchen.

As a refurbished Cappuccino machine it worked perfectly, without any problems! Was extremely easy to use and I am now convinced that you don't always have to buy brand new ! Cheers! Enjoying my cappuccino right now as I type. Thank you Overstock for your great service!

I love to use this handy machine...I will add however that even with this great frother, I still prefer my Caprissa (sp?) as a frother, it makes yummy hot chocolate too! In case it matters to anyone, I always froth soy or almond milk and it works just fine...I think you'll enjoy this if you take the plunge.

This makes a wonderful cup of coffee and I use it mostly for lattes. This is the second refurbished one I have bought -- the first was a gift for my daughter. If you love espressos, you'll get great use out of this. It does not take up a large footprint in the kitchen either.

Over the past few decades I have owned probably 3 of these machines. Starbucks used to sell this model with their name on as a Barrista. It is an excellent value if you plan to make a couple of drinks per day. It is a strong enough pump to get a good foam and it pulls a solid shot of espresso. Easy to use. I probably did not descale my former machines it often enough (they say every 2 months) so I may have been able to get more than the 4-5 years out of them that I did.

Like most Nespresso fans, I discovered this on vacation, as my hotel room had the Essenza version. I did my research and felt that I would take a risk with a MUCH less expensive refurb model, from Overstock, going with the higher end Citiz version as opposed to the U, Essenza or Pixie. I like the fact that it's solid on the counter, looks kinda fancy, and the middle tray flips up so a regularly-sized mug can sit flat underneath waiting to get filled up. I chose the titanium gray because the pic on the website showed the newer version of the Citiz, (the spout is a flat, upside down teardrop shape), and that's what I got, although I really wanted the black. But happily, the gray looks really cool with the chrome and black accents. It's a very DARK gray, almost charcoal...very sharp...a nice touch with soapstone counters. Ok, so out of the box.... It comes with a nice pack of instructions, manuals and a warranty. The warranty has a phone number and a PERSON answers when you call it. I know that because my refurb Citiz did not come with a top for the water reservoir. Although I was saying, "uh-oh...." the customer rep. was great, she registered my Citiz, they had most of my info already because I had joined the Nespresso club, and said they would send the lid out immediately. Within 10 minutes of hanging up, I had an email confirmation from them that my lid had shipped. I checked with the customer rep. to see if I could still use the machine without the the lid, and she said I could. So I made a Lungo, then adjusted the button for a longer Lungo, then made lattes. I think I am sufficiently caffeinated. As other reviews stated, it doesn't come with any capsules. I ordered an assortment from Nespresso.com, the cheapest place by far, joined "the club," and they arrived the next day - regular shipping. Very pleased with them and my choices: Arpeggio, the new varietals assortment (4 types), and the blue Lungo. So overall, even with a minor problem, I would say that my experience has been great with Nespresso and with Overstock (3 days for the free shipping, across country....not bad). And the coffee really is great. I hope this review helped people that are contemplating buying one. Kind regards!

I bought this machine and was very excited to open it up and start using it. Unfortunately, when I started to use the machine it started overflowing. I realized that none of the cups had the little holes punched in them, so making espresso was impossible. Basically, I paid for a machine whose only purpose was to make espresso, and it could not do that. So, I used their online chat for customer help, and they offered me a partial refund. I bought the cups elsewhere (on a replacement part site) and I am still waiting for the new part. It has taken about a month, and I still cannot make espresso, so I would recommend buying this product elsewhere (although getting a partial refund was nice, albeit deserved).

We have the same maker at home and my husband wanted one at work so I bought a refurbished unit to save money and paid for the insurance just in case. Works as well as the new one we bought and seemed new out of the box. Great purchase...the coffee pods you need to purchase on the nespresso site certainly cheaper than many other manufactors and a million times better their pod coffee makers are not as good as this one in my mind. I believe it is because nespresso seals and selects their coffee with incredible care. The sealing may be the ticket not sure but it makes barista type coffee at home easily with no fuss. Can not beat that!
