very good quality and beautiful craftsmanship. you will will not be disappointed!Read More
I have a similar shelf in white in my daughter's room. This is much nicer. It is larger and the hooks are higher quality. I was able to assemble the unit on my own in less than an hour with only two minor errors that I easily corrected (my own mistakes). I like the hanging system. There is a piece of wood that you mount on the wall into the studs and the shelf rests on that. The only reason that i did not give this 5 stars is that the mounting piece does not have a finished appearance on the bottom (visible) portion and the wood screws are gold and are visible from the wall side. If they would give some black caps for the wood screws and finish the bottom surface, my rating would go up. Also, be sure you have a good stud finder, drill, and long bits to hang the mounting piece.Read More

Well constructed. Easy to put together. Good value for this product.Read More
Got these cubbies for a day care center and they look great as opposed to the traditional cubbies you get from those school sites. Overall a great buy.Read More
This shelf looks like the PB Samantha shelf at a fraction of the cost. The directions are really not that clear, but you can figure it out if you take your time. There is not a full backing to the back of the cubbies (meaning that you can see the wall when mounted). If hung correctly, the hooks are study and can support jackets & coats.Read More
Great in garage entry near mud room. Sturdy, functional and attractive. Not at all difficult to assemble or mount. Instructions are not correct as others have pointed out, but it isn't difficult to tell what goes where. Good product. Highly recommended.Read More
ordered this item for storage for entranceway. holds up well and looks more expensive than it is. Great value for the price. we use it to store outdoor items, mittens gloves, dog leashes ect; items that would normally clutter the entrance area. not too difficult to assemble. love that it has hooks to hang, a great organizational item. I see complaints about the quality which is surprising, The quality is exceptional for the price. I didnít invest in a high end piece of furniture , I bought a unit that I know I was going to treat rough, and got above what i would expect for the price. It holds up well for the rugged use we give itRead More
I love this shelf, it has helped us organize the mud room. It is sturdy and big, and you will need someone strong and good with tools to put it together.Read More
We purchased 5 shelves on this site that were awesome. We purchased this one the same day. The quality of this is poor, made with particle board. We purchased it for a bathroom so it will not hold up. We had to finish painting the unfinished sides of all the pieces to seal it and then we could put it together. No baskets came with this set. The other sets we purchased were of a much nicer quality, were solid wood and were finished and then included the baskets for less money. This was a very disappointing purchase.Read More

Bookshelves Buying Guide
Despite the name, bookshelves are about more than just shelving books. Bookshelves make versatile solutions as free-standing dry food pantries, open dressers or displays dedicated to your knick-knacks and tchochkes. They quickly convert into china cabinets, media organizers or shoe storage. Whatever the case, the right bookcase goes miles toward making your home into the haven it should be.
How to Organize Your DVDs
Many people love to collect favorite movies, programs and television shows on DVDs, whether it's a collection of classics, documentaries, children's movies or everything in between. Most people cherish their collection of DVDs, but you might not know it from the messy pile those DVDs make when shoved into a box or crammed haphazardly onto a shelf. If you've ever spent almost as much time searching for a movie as you have watching it, then it's probably time for you to organize your DVDs. Some attractive media bookshelves can be a great place to start.
Best Materials for an Entryway Bench
To make your entryway more inviting, consider adding a bench. Entryway benches can provide a place to sit while you remove your shoes, storage cubbies for mittens and hats and even hooks for hanging coats. Consider the best materials for an entryway bench so you can select the one that best fits your decorating style.
Best Bookshelf Materials
It's not unusual for bookshelves to incorporate multiple materials for different features. If you haven't decided on wood, wood products, metal or glass bookshelves, look at their relative strengths and weaknesses. Look below to learn the best bookshelf materials. Wood: "Solid wood" is a common term for furniture made from lumber planks. Beware of making assumptions based on labels like "hardwood" and "softwood." Hardwoods are derived from deciduous trees and softwoods from coniferous trees; the terms don't connote their relative strengths. Balsa is a hardwood even though it is very soft, just as Douglas fir is a softwood even though it is very hard. They all make excellent, classic stock material for bookcases. Generally, harder woods are the heavier and more resistant to scratches. Still, softer woods, if treated correctly, will keep just as well as harder woods. Plywood: Made by stacking thin sheets -- "plies" -- of lumber and gluing them under pressure, plywood features grains that alternate direction for strength. Several grades are available, of differing cost. Top and bottom plies can be high-quality woods to create the appearance of fine woods, but edge veneer or molding is needed to complete the illusion. Particleboard: Wood chips glued together carry a much lower price tag than solid wood, and particleboard is denser and more uniform. It's a great choice when cost is the primary consideration. Bookshelves crafted from veneered composite boards can look and feel as good as real wood. MDF: Wood fibers, tiny chips and sawdust collected and glued into sheets form medium-density fiberboard (MDF). Low-cost MDF makes an excellent base for veneers; plus, its strength is consistent and it shapes well. Metal: There's a reason most library bookshelves are made from metal: Metal bookcases are resistant to moisture and fungus, their low-friction shelves are easier on books' bindings and metal's strength-to-weight ratio can't be beat. Their cost usually comes in below any other material. Glass: Glass bookshelves weigh more than other types, but if you plan on assembling your bookshelves only once, the style points can be well worth it. Tempered glass shelves (in wood or metal uprights, called "standards") give your home an unbeatable contemporary feel, and glass bookcases' smooth, transparent surfaces add brilliant levity to a decorating piece that might otherwise be notably opaque and heavy. Best Bookshelves for Kids
Children's bookshelves and other kids' storage, as a rule, should be low to the ground. Furniture tip-overs have accounted for almost 15,000 childhood accidents each year from 1990 to 2007, according to the Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. Children often reach for items on the top of bookshelves, causing tip-overs. With low-to-the-ground kids' storage, children can easily reach their favorite books without parents worrying about the furniture seriously injuring their child.

TV Stand Buying Guide
Lately, television consoles, stands and storage racks have been exhibiting updated designs, sporting storage for your media essentials in models that are tastefully coordinated to the rest of your living room furniture. As more people upgrade to lean flat-panel televisions, they are seeing that the smaller size of a TV stand is all they need. The furniture industry usually reserves the term "entertainment center" for the largest TV furniture, big enough for the television, a cadre of audio or video components and a full CD-DVD collection.
