Espresso Flat Screen TV Console Cabinet

I love the look of this console cabinet. But my husband had to buy bigger screws to hold our 50" tv to make it more sturdy. For the price, it will do.

I bought this to hold gaming/audio equipment and media in a playroom. It arrived very quickly and despite a box that looked like it had been dragged behind the truck the whole way, it was in perfect condition. It is very sturdy and looks nice, but we did have some "issues" putting it together. The instructions were easy to understand, but in one place where we needed to put a dowel, there was a nail protruding halfway into the hole that could not be removed from the other side. I skipped that one, and the cabinet still seems very sturdy without it. Also, 2 of the cam-locks broke when we turned them to attach the post. There was one "extra" in the bag of parts, but we could have used an "extra-extra"! The hole for the power cords was not large enough, which made our equipment poke out too far in the front. We needed to cut out a bigger hole in back so that the components could be pushed to the back of the cabinet, allowing the doors in the front of the cabinet to slide back and forth to access the side compartments. Not a big deal if you are capable of this, but I would not have been able to do this without help.

This is a great unit for people converting to flat-screen TVs yet still need space for the DVD player, stereo equipment, etc. The only tough part of the assembly was putting the back piece on. Be careful to line it up properly or the nails won't go in straight. Looks very nice in my living room!

I had read the reviews about how difficult this piece of furnature was to assemble and I was a little weary of ordering. I'm glad I ordered. I love the look of the piece and it took me about 30 minutes to put together by myself.
