Entertainment Centers

Is your TV the focal point of your living room? If so, the entertainment center you choose should also be worthy of the spotlight. The challenge is to find an entertainment center that complements your space without overshadowing the rest of your living room furniture and is as stylish as it is functional.
To help you find just the right entertainment center, keep a few considerations in mind. Find a TV stand with enough media storage for your DVDs, CDs, and supporting electronics to put the theater back in your home theater experience. Do you need a piece of furniture for your bedroom TV? Look for a stand that includes cabinets and extra drawers to store your bedding and other bedroom basics. The most important consideration is size; for cabinets that surround your TV, make sure to measure the height, width, and depth of your television to ensure a perfect fit.
The easiest way to pick the style of your entertainment center is to match your existing furniture and decor. If your home has a vintage country-cottage look, consider a painted, antique white entertainment center. For a timeless look, inspired by durability and strength, try an oak TV console. If sleek and modern is more your style, try a metal, wall-mounted entertainment center that can display your television at any level you wish. If you want to hide your television after your favorite show is over, opt for a TV armoire; with a wall-mounted home entertainment center and a little elbow grease, you can even recess a flat-screen TV into the wall for a sleek look that saves space.

Directions are bad making it very easy to put a piece on in the wrong direction. Metal connectors made of soft metal and 4 broke and they know they are junk because it comes with a spare and they dont hold it together. I ended up putting screws in place. Door doesnt close unless I pull out drawers. Bottom piece is pressed wood and came bubbled. At the end of the day, it doesnt look bad but I wont be putting a tv on top just in case.

I got this beautiful piece of furniture yesterday. Because of an earlier review I read I made sure I opened the box outside..a great idea. Other than the mess from the packaging it was very safe and secure. It took me only about a half hour to assemble. Wow is it gorgeous. this is the best decision I have made in a long time. As an added plus, the customer service at Overstock is excellent.

This is somewhat more challenging to put together, but definitely worth it. Two people would be better than one, but in the places you need another person, if you lay the unit down you can push it together to make the pegs and holes meet to put in the screws. It looks great, the swivel top makes viewing easy. It offers more safety features than I needed. Since I'm 75 with no grandchildren there was no need to anchor the swivel top to the wall to keep it from doing a lazy-susan with the TV in a full circle. The parts are there, however, if your family is more active.
