Entertainment Centers

Is your TV the focal point of your living room? If so, the entertainment center you choose should also be worthy of the spotlight. The challenge is to find an entertainment center that complements your space without overshadowing the rest of your living room furniture and is as stylish as it is functional.
To help you find just the right entertainment center, keep a few considerations in mind. Find a TV stand with enough media storage for your DVDs, CDs, and supporting electronics to put the theater back in your home theater experience. Do you need a piece of furniture for your bedroom TV? Look for a stand that includes cabinets and extra drawers to store your bedding and other bedroom basics. The most important consideration is size; for cabinets that surround your TV, make sure to measure the height, width, and depth of your television to ensure a perfect fit.
The easiest way to pick the style of your entertainment center is to match your existing furniture and decor. If your home has a vintage country-cottage look, consider a painted, antique white entertainment center. For a timeless look, inspired by durability and strength, try an oak TV console. If sleek and modern is more your style, try a metal, wall-mounted entertainment center that can display your television at any level you wish. If you want to hide your television after your favorite show is over, opt for a TV armoire; with a wall-mounted home entertainment center and a little elbow grease, you can even recess a flat-screen TV into the wall for a sleek look that saves space.

Great Storage Space. Way more than I thought. Down side it took about two and half hours to put it together

I buy many big-ticket and/or furniture items from o.co, and this one really hurt my feelings. First, the finish cracks and flakes off with even the slightest impact. You must be extraordinarily careful while unpacking the pieces to prevent the finish from flaking off. Unlike other self-assembled furniture items that use a cam lock system, this item uses actual screws that thread through pre-drilled holes in the base to secure the sides of the cupboards to the base. Theoretically, this should be a plus. The problem? The pre-drilled holes just weren't there. I had to take a crash-course in carpentry to put this thing together. Not at all worth it for the quality. And finally, the finish is really much darker than anything that could be considered white or cream. The trim in my media room is painted a very warm, very yellow "cottage white," and the finish on media center is much more yellow by comparison.

  • Perfect for large screen TV

This piece was fairly easy to put together; though the drawers took a little extra time to make sure they were perfectly aligned. The overall console looks more expensive than it actually is. I would purchase this again.

  • Really nice looking

Classy, modern, looks more expensive than it cost. The parts were clearly labeled. The instructions could use a little improvement insofar as the graphic representations, but, that seems to be an issue across the board with do-it-yourself furniture.

  • Nice Looking table.

Straight forward assembly although there are a lot of parts. Good looking table, slightly lighter then pictured. The legs are tube steel, so they are not overly sturdy. The top comes fully assembled which saved time. It's also very heavy which makes me wonder how long it will last as the legs are not as sturdy. I wouldn't recommend placing anything to heavy on it. Otherwise it's a good looking piece.
