    I love the unique design of these chairs. I bought 2 and they are rvery nice. The quality is great and they are really sturdy. I will be getting a lot of use out of these. Very happy with my purchase.

  • Nice product but not bar height

    These stools are well made and comfy, but the max height is 29.5" (seats lowest point in the middle), the back max height is 37.75". The height measurements on line are completely off. Overstock was nice enough to give me a discount for keeping the chairs, just be aware that the height is way off.

  • good for the purpose I need it for

    I use when drying my hair, putting on make up, stuff like that. I have MS so by the time I get that stuff done, I've used my energy up! This allows me to get ready and actually have energy to go do things after I put myself together. Wish I would have thought of this years ago!

What is the weight of this seat (as in the base)? I bought similar chairs through Amazon and had to return them, mainly because the the base of the chair was much lighter than the actual seat and one swivel caused the chair to topple and almost fall over. With this model, the actual seat weighs approximately 8 lbs. Whereas, the base of the chair, including the hydraulics is approximately 10 lbs. The maximum weight capacity of this chair is approximately 150 lbs and we advise people not to swivel aggressively. The minimum height of the seat is 35 inches? That can't be right. Most adjustable height stools seem to reach a maximum seat height of 33 inches. It seems unlikely that this stool has a minimum height two full inches greater than the maximum for many other stools. The measurements in the product description must be relative to the back of the chair. Could someone please determine the actual sitting height range for this stool? agrilla on Sep 25, 2012

All answers here are incorrect and misleading. I bought the chairs and max seat heights is 30". The is the measurement from the floor to the seat of the chair when fully extended up. bigstoolno2 on May 2, 2013
