NAUTICAL SPHERE
This is one of my favorite nautical decor pieces in my livingroom....it looks very authentic and blends in very well, very heavy and well made.

Perfect Size, Beautiful Details
My husband wanted an armillary sphere with some functionality to it for Christmas. I picked out this one because it was very affordable and semi-functional, in that the rings are engraved with coordinates and constellations. The more basic models I researched have no engravings and are purely for decoration. The sphere itself is impressive-looking and would look very distinguished displayed on a desk or a bookshelf.

Pretty good but better pictures would help
The construction is of good quality, but it is not quite what I expected. Some of the layers do move, but I was hoping more of them would. Also, I thought it was more simple, but it was engraved with astrological signs and the names of islands(?perhaps they are latitude lines), which I'm not thrilled with. All in all, if they had had a better picture that showed the engraving more clearly I would have bought something like this, but not this one. As it is, the person I'm giving it to will still like it, it's just not as perfect as I'd hoped.

I've been looking for a globe to compliment my modern office theme and this first right in,its not too large and fits perfectly on my desk next to my computer.Definitely one of my best purchases so far.
