My kitchen is an odd color and I was searching for the right canister set that would blend in. These were great!! They are a dark, dark brown with a spice brown color band around them. (The product description on the website was accurate) There are flowers painted on each. It's a four piece set, I could actually use one more. The lids do fit snug, so I'm confident in leaving tea, etc in them. The size is appropriate for holding sugar or flour or rice, etc. I am pleased with my purchase.

We are about to completely remodel our kitchen, so we wanted to have everything match. I ordered almost everything this design offered, including canisters, two sets of dishes so we can serve 8, sugar & creamer set, platter, serving bowls and more. I'm SO happy with it all - it's exactly what I wanted. I like slightly uncommon items; bold colors and unique designs - things that not everyone has - so this was perfect for me. All the pieces are heavy and solid and you might think they were hand made by a ceramic artist. The only slight issue my husband had is that the dinner plates are a little smaller than most, but he just has to get second servings, no big deal. The colors are dark brown background with the gold, yellow and orange flowers, and I will be using them to help choose the final paint color of my kitchen. I can hardly wait to see how it all comes together. I gave 5 stars on everything except "value" because even though the cost was worth it to me, since it was what I wanted, it was not a "discounted" type item that Overstock usually offers. I have used Overstock for several years and have NEVER been unhappy with any purchases from them. I have purchased several pieces of furniture, clothing, almost ALL of my Christmas gifts last year, etc. and their customer service is excellent with very fast shipping and good response with any rare problem. I think I'm their biggest fan! I'm going to copy and paste this whole review because I ordered so many pieces that it would take me too long to rewrite my review for each one.

Everyone that sees them on top of my refrigerator comments on the workmanship and the beauty of these cannisters. I am very pleased with what I chose and would recommend them to everyone. They are not the run of the mill cannisters that you see everywhere. They are very special. I looked for a long time and came up with the right item.
