I am very happy with this purchase, I was concerned when putting the table together because the wooden dowels did not need to be hammered in. I also had two scuffs on different parts, but they do not show at all. The value is great, once the table is together it feels very sturdy. The back panel is much thicker than most back pannels I have seen on other furniture. The back panel is also attached with screws and not small nails. The picture actually does not do total justice to the table, It looks better in person, it is a true cherry wood color and matches my more expensive furniture well! Very happy with this purchase and would recommend to anyone.

This is the second time I order book shelves from Overstock.com. The first time I was not happy since the installation was too confusion. I like this one, the design is better and easier to assemble (# on pieces, arrow on front vs. back etc..). I order the match tall narrow bookcase with this one, and my daughter (12 years old) installed it at the same time by herself! I only give it a 4 star because there is mistakes in the manual for install (missing "put screws in" step), and my daughter missed it since she followed exactly on the instruction (which I correct it late). After installation, it is leveled and nice looking for the price. I put it in hallway under a picture, on which I put picture frames and a small lamp on top of it. Looks really nice! Would recommend it for sure.

The package arrived very quickly which was great. The box appeared fine but when I opened it, the sides of the bookcase had deep scratches that could not be covered with furniture markers. To be honest, who wants to have to cover scratches on a brand new item anyways. Another review mentioned this same thing but I thought it was few and far between. Oh well, it looked like a nice piece of furniture otherwise. I returned it and will not order it again.

I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of this product. It was a purchase for an odd space in our home, and we didn't need a high end piece of furniture. This bookcase is well made, heavy, and a much better piece of furniture than the price would indicate. I love it!

I love the look of these bookcases, but the combination of wood and laminate parts lends a bit of shabbiness to the product. The top piece, in particular, has some rather raggedy edges that I covered over with a marker pen. If you don't look too closely, it's a great, stylish piece of furniture. If your eyes are sharp, though, you're going to notice the cheapness of the laminate parts. The price is right, but I wouldn't try to make this item a feature of the room.

I bought two of these to use as a "sofa table" behind the sofa in my family room to provide storage for books and games. The two together were a good length and height along the back of my sofa. I covered the top with a decorative table runner and lamps. These are very nice looking for the price. The wood grain is obviously fake when you look close up, but the other extra details (ridges and mitre-ing), and recessed panel on the sides make them look substantial. Easy to assemble - - good instructions and all the holes lined up, instructions said two people needed to assemble but I did it by myself. I recommend an electric screwdriver as there are A LOT of screws. They would be great for an office as well, a step above basic office shelving.

I was amazed that it was so easy to put together. It took about an hour and a half to put together with the help of a friend. The finish is beautiful and overall does not look like a shelf that was a DIY project. I would recommend this product. I went with 4 stars on workmanship because there was one dowel that did not match the hole that it was intended to match and I had to eleminate that dowel. It is still sturdy and not a problem.

We purchased this for our son's bedroom and it matches his bedroom furniture perfectly. It was easy to assemble, really sturdy and looks like we paid so much more for it . Highly recommend.

This Item is pretty and a good size, but hard to assemble.
