    • nice looking desk

      Nice looking desk and very easy to put together; only the legs needed to be screwed on. Down side--the front of the keyboard tray would not stay closed and actually broke off within the first week of use. Other than that the desk feels sturdy; for the price you really can't ask for more.

    • poor quality control

      The desk looked great in the photos. However, when it arrived the desk top was chipped in 3 places. The chips were were visible. Since the desk is very heavy, I did not try to return it. Instead I will use it as basement furniture. A little disappointing since this is the first thing I ordered from Overstock

    • Desk is fine, but shipped poorly

      When my order arrived, the desk was packaged very poorly and the drawer - instead of being packaged outside the desk - was shipped in the desk. As a result, the desk runners broke off from the side of the drawer and the screws were either stripped out of the wood or ripped out of the wood (breaking the thin strip of wood all together). There was also a large, wide scratch across the top of the desk. Overstock customer service was AWESOME and immediately shipped me a whole new desk, since the only thing that didn't need to be replaced was the legs. Guess what? The new desk shipped in exactly the same way, despite the customer service personnel's written description of the issue, so when the second desk arrived, the drawer was again pulled loose and broken off from the side runners. Overstock.com credited me sufficient money to get the drawer repaired locally, since this time the new desktop was fine. I'm a HUGE fan of Overstock.com now, since they handled this very well, but I don't have a confident feeling that this desk would ship differently next time, so I don't recommend it. I ordered the desk for my son's room - for homework and it serves its purpose perfectly.

    • GOOD deal not great

      It looks nice, however it does have a few flaws. First, the pull out drawer does not stay upright, it keeps falling down. Second, on the underside of it, it is made of bad looking wood. However, great deal on price!

    • Great value!

      The desk looks great in my living room and is exactly what I wanted! I didn't want an office type desk, just something simple to put my lap top on so I could do my school work while looking outside, instead of stuck in the back bedroom/den. I went to several stores before purchasing this one. This was the nicest and at a great price.

    • Elsa 47-inch Home Office Writing Desk

      If you are looking for something inexpensive and yet elegant and looking expensive to match your other high quality furniture (my wall unit cost me $3,000), then this writing desk is perfect in everyway. It blends in perfectly with my other office furniture. Easy to assemble, but be careful in unpacking the center drawer. The dimension of the writing desk allows you the flexibility to put it into different configurations., i.e. against wall or free independent standing. Hope this helps.
